Description

Hyperice has maintained a tradition of producing extremely hushed devices. It’s the one aspect we can never complain about. The new Hypervolt Go 2 is very quiet. They also chose to include the “hard” attachments here – no soft attachment. This is a bummer because you can’t have a soft massage with these. The current generation Theragun devices have 4 models; 3 full-sized and 1 mini massage gun. There’s Theragun Mini, Prime, Elite and Pro (all of which we have compared in this post). This is why the Bantam outperforms this device even though it’s cheaper. It has a better stall force.

Battery and Charger: A good battery means a good product. Convenience in charging, e.g. via USB, is a plus for us as well.

Color Options

Should you upgrade from Go 1 to Go 2? Yes, if you like the new color. Otherwise, both devices have more or less the same features. Well, maybe a few things changed for the Go 2 including a slightly more juiced battery. However, that’s more aesthetic that a serious upgrade. They both perform about the same way. All the Hypervolt massage guns are also TSA-approved for carry-on, making them a convenient addition to your suitcase or handbag. The Hypervolt 2 has an estimated stall force of about 25 pounds and a stroke length of 12 millimeters. It's incredibly quiet, so you can massage your muscles on the go without disturbing coworkers, other travelers, or housemates. It’s also the lighter massage gun between the two weighing in at just 1.1lbs. This makes it even more portable.

Hyperice Hypervolt GO 2 review: Superb portable massage gun - T3

Expect 3 speed gears on this device and a percussion range of 2200-3200RPM. We expect a 10mm device to vibrate faster than a 12mm Theragun mini. TIP Refer to our Hypervolt Go 2 Review to read what has changed and what has not vs. the Go 1. Hypervolt Go 2 compared side-by-side to Ekrin Bantam. We’ve made the choice easier here because none of the guns in our list are loud. They wouldn’t make the list if they were. We measure noise levels of every device that we test. The battery has 2350mAh capacity and will last for 2-2.5 hours per charge. We noticed that the battery drains faster when you are using it on the highest speed. Lifepro might not be a top banana in the bunch. At least not as far as mini massage guns go. But they built a good reputation with their massage guns, as well as a variety of other fitness products. The Go serves a different niche – portability and convenience, for those always on the move. It’s a mini massage gun. These have become the latest trend in the massage gun world and different brands have been up and about trying to get the mini versions of their mainstream devices into the market. For starters, the stall force is about 25lbs. At least that’s how it felt to us (Renpho does’t list it anywhere). The amplitude is 9mm, which is reasonable for a mini massage gun because most range between 6-9mm. It has 1800-3000 percussions per minute.

Hyperice Hypervolt Go 2 Review | Golf Monthly

Amplitude is the only one feature when Theragun minishines, with its 12mm. But sometimes, you’ll want to sacrifice more head travel for more no-stall force. Theragun Mini’s 12 mm amplitude is really impressive for a mini device. Smaller it might be than your average massage gun, but the Hypervolt GO 2 feels like a premium device. The updated design is more sophisticated, feels good in the hand and looks more premium than its predecessor. Not to mention, the button is placed in the right area, finally! A mini massage gun’s motor will make a certain amount of noise when it’s turned on. There’s tolerable noise and then there’s madhouse noise levels. These differences, we believe, will make it easy for you to understand what you are getting, should you choose to buy a device from either brand.
