Warhammer Community: Kill Team: Annual 2022 – The Elucidian Starstriders and Gellerpox Infected Return (posted 19/8/2022) (last accessed 19/8/2022) The Citadel miniatures that a player uses in Warhammer 40,000: Kill Team are known as operatives. Your operatives are known as ‘friendly’ operatives and your opponent’s operatives are known as ‘enemy’ operatives.

They are super hard to kill and can’t even really take Critical Damage rolls, which is just super sweet. In addition to the core rules, the Intercession Squad Kill Team will get you right into the action with a band of six powerful Primaris Intercessors or Assault Intercessors – which you can mix and match to suit your tactics. The 2022 Kill Team Annual, which has rules for all of the teams published in White Dwarf over the past year, plus two additional teams Kill Team: Annual 2022 is a supplement for the 3rd edition of Kill Team. It is a collection of rules for teams and missions previously published in White Dwarf, as well as two new teams from the previous edition of Kill Team, the Elucidan Starstriders and the Gellerpox Infected. What are the different versions of Kill Team?

None of this is to say that this mission can’t be fun, in fact it seems like the kind of mission more suited for Narrative Play simply because it mixes strategy AND randomness. 3.1 – Forge Stronghold Warhammer 40,000: Kill Team uses six-sided dice (D6). Rolling a dice will give you a value, known as the result, which will determine the success or failure of your operatives’ deeds. Some rules refer to a D3. In such cases, roll one D6 and halve the value (rounding fractions up) to determine the result. Move the active operative up to a distance that does not exceed the distance equal to its Movement characteristic plus . This is just the beginning of a new season of Kill Team – there’s loads more to come in the short and medium term. Elucidian Starstriders

Gellerpox teams have four massive operatives, 3 guardsmen-like mutants, and a quartet of Glitchlings who are more a distraction than real threats. Their big monsters have very high wound counts and can hit like a freight train, though the bulk of their prowess is in melee – the team has very little shooting. The entire team are APL 2 and have 5+ saves. Additionally, every operative has the Techno-Curse and Revoltingly Resilient abilities. Move the active operative up to a distance that does not exceed its Movement characteristic. Remember that distances can be broken down into smaller increments, so long as the total distance the operative moves does not exceed its Movement characteristic. The operative must move in straight-line increments each time it moves in a direction. An increment of movement can be less than , but such increments are still treated as . This mission is very interesting as it presents players with numerous open firing lanes that lead to their opponents drop zone. At the end of each Turning Point players score 1 VP for each sector that has no enemy operatives on their side of the centerline, and an additional 1 VP for each sector that they have an operative within 3 inches of their opponents drop zone. WARPCOVEN operatives selected from the following list ( ARCANA ASTARTES operatives count as two selections):However, if you don’t have Space Marines, you will have to settle for the core rules, but hey, some free rules are better than no free rules!

Before we dive in, we’d like to thank Games Workshop for providing us with preview copies of the Annual and Into the Dark boxed set for review purposes.Operatives can perform the Claim Loot (1 AP) mission action while within 1 inch of a marker they control to score 1 VP, this can only be done to each objective once per Turning Point, to a maximum of 3 times per team per Turning Point. At the end of the battle each Alpha Objective is worth an additional 2 VP. Two further issues of White Dwarf are added to the Warhammer Vault this week. Issue 338 focuses on the Harad for the Middle-earth ™ Strategy Battle Game, and issue 339 takes us deep into Sylvania in the World-that-Was to cast a light upon the Vampire Courts. I honestly don’t know what to make of the Gellerpox Infected as a kill team; they seem fun as hell to play and completely monstrous to take down, but they also seem a bit ponderous and slow in some regards. A lot of their games will depend on their ability to tank hits and plow into opponents early, which may be tough with lots of vertical terrain against faster opponents who can FLY. They’re also going to struggle a lot against enemies who can Stun them and make their massive wound pools mostly worthless. On the other hand they’ll also eat a ton of wounds and stay in the game and it’ll be interesting to see how that works out. The Kill Team Annual 2022 collects several of the White Dwarf articles published since Kill Team's release, including rules and kill team lists, and it also includes the rules from the 2 kill teams from the Rogue Trader boxed set of the previous edition of the game.
