I know I am a fast reader, but I felt like I read this book super fast, and I just felt like it was because there wasn’t a whole lot of meat to it.

Neither of them were interested in any more romantic interests but the draw between them was hard to resist. I was disappointed to see the book end on a cliffhanger, but at the same time I cannot wait to read the second book to see what happens between them! They are able to overcome their own past by leaning on each other and allowing themselves to trust one another. Anne-Marie recently started SweetHeart Books, a publishing imprint where she helps upcoming authors who do not understand the publishing market place. Maybe it just didn’t resonate with me but I felt like the whole storyline was empty and just filler scenes with a little plot in there and I felt like the writing let the story down too.I need to take TikTok recommendations with a grain of salt, the scene the author showed was taken completely out of context and made to seem way more dramatic than it was.
