Menos estela, menos jabonosa y menos duración (en mi piel una hora menos apróximadamente comparando la original al mismo tiempo) . If you come across an original vintage of this holy water, do not hesitate - I doubt that you would be disappointed. Almost 30 years later, in February the 2013, Armani launches a new version of Eau Pour Homme and a brand new nocturnal edition Eau de Nuit. I had been lusting after a certain smell, the classic, like something my grandfather would have worn, and I have to say I experienced what I'm sure can only be compared to a junkie's high when I smelled it. I could imagine Gordon Gekko wearing this fragrance in the 80's or a stylishly dressed man in an Italian suit.

The citrus in the top notes is quite well done with prominent lemon and basil, and a mild spiciness. In fact, of all the fragrances I have in my collection; some 150+, it’s the only one my wife (not the aforementioned girlfriend) ever comments on still, after 25 years. Giorgio Armani was just finding his stride as fashion mogul by the early 1980's, having done his time as a designer for Nino Cerruti in the 1960's before launching his eponymous house in 1975. Embrace the essence of Armani and elevate your fragrance game with this remarkable scent that embodies the spirit of success and accomplishment.Luckily, someone told me to grab a bottle of Adolfo Domínguez' Agua Fresca – not the extreme, not the cedro, but the original. The rework done here witnessed how there may still be IFRA-compliant fragrances not completely shattered. A quantity of essential oils close to 10% is the salient feature that hides behind the impalpable cloud characteristic of the eau de toilette.

It's been a while since I've tried Eau Sauvage but I remember that one being more timeless and something any age group could pull off. I smellt it before, but it was warmer weather and I could smell patchouli after the citrus green opening. Overall this is distinctly a greener, darker and creamier/spicer scent thanks to the clove and nutmeg. I you would meet the person that you are interested in and would make a decent approach over a very expensive dinner, I think that you should try this. It can feel a bit muddy by modern standards - it was a transitional scent after all, and maybe not the finest of it's type.Perfect for day, it evokes the Italian heat, but is also classy enough for nighttime, though in an intimate low light setting like a dinner, I would opt for something smoother. Had to hunt down a vintage bottle after having the pleasure of experiencing two small vintage testers.

The bold hesperidic (that's a fancy way of saying "citrusy") opening gives way to a spicy aromatic heart with a classic base of patchouli, woods and oakmoss (at least if you have an old bottle like mine from before they banned oakmoss! Now that I’m older and know more about the things I am smelling (at least I like telling myself this) I can appreciate it for what it is and not just, “this smelled like my father”.

My olfactory memory from the 1990's was that of a great gentleman's cologne and I was genuinely scared if this scent should be either a watered down image of it's former self or simply being too old-school and that my tastes may have changed over the years. The final effect of the dry down is one that glows to a lesser extent as Eau Sauvage, but with herbs, oakmoss, and aromatic spice doing all the talking in place of any proper florals once the citrus and lavender burn off in the first few hours. This frag is beautifully well mixed with notes of vetiver, nutmag and oakmoss give it a very fresh clean herbal/spicy vib making it STUPENDOUS! This fragrance is recommended for men between 40 and 65 years old because of its classic and warm style. The heart sneaks in a bit of jasmine hedione with the expectant lavender, and a slightly-nutty arrangement of spices also kick in, with cinnamon, nutmeg, coriander and clove blending so seamlessly, that only the clove really sticks its head out.

The musk is the most noticeable opening note, a dirty musk with an animalic touch; the citrus notes blend themselves into a lemony accord which is sharp and fresh. The perfume notes may differ slightly between the two versions depending on what review you read so I rushed out and bought a bottle of the original thinking my favourite fragrance of all time was about to disappear. Definitely best for summer but could hold it's own in early autumn/fall, I also like this for daywear but has a bit of complexity for a summer evening if you vary the sprays.

Projection is moderate and longevity is around 5-6 hours as long as you manage to get some on your clothing as well. The bottle design is updated and the composition is adapted with ingredients that are available today. Never the less, I find myself ready for testing the new one now - knowing that the original is still all that. Armani Eau pour Homme is decent, not revolutionary but pleasant enough to try out if hesperidic (citrus aromatic) scents are of interest to you. Elle est la nouvelle version de l'eau des années 80; elle est très classique et donc à porter en toute circonstance ; elle fait l'unanimité auprès de l'entourage et quelque soit l'environnement.
