In Splatoon 3, while the Inkling Girl and Inkling Girl 2 amiibo share the same dialogue and features, the game differentiates between them. Tap an amiibo while playing compatible Nintendo Switch, Nintendo 3DS or Wii U software and you’ll uncover surprising new features! The rewards given by the Inkling Boy 2 amiibo are almost identical, minus the song, while the Squinja Mask has been split into the Squinja Mask Mk I and Squinja Mask Mk II.

The Octoling (Blue) amiibo is not identified by Splatoon, and is treated like a non- Splatoon amiibo. The Inkling Girl 2 amiibo can be used in Splatoon, which identifies it as its original counterpart (with the original iteration's color). The Octoling Girl has orange eyes and has two pink tentacles parted with two shorter ones curled up. The colors and designs of this Nintendo Amiibo 3-count figurine set evoke the zany spirit of the video game. Consumers were instead given the other two Inkling amiibo alongside the game to compensate for this loss or could receive some money back.

Nintendo has released two Splatoon-themed dioramas to display amiibo, both of which were only released in Japan. It can be purchased individually or in a pack of three with the Octoling (Blue) and Smallfry amiibo. When three challenges in the same row are completed, the fourth challenge for that set is unlocked, being the boss for its corresponding area in Octo Valley.
