If there are technical issues, the Hisense 50E77HQTUK QLED Gaming Series TV has a built-in troubleshooting feature to help users diagnose and fix problems. The TV’s user manual also provides detailed troubleshooting steps for common issues. Warranty The Hisense 50E77HQTUK QLED Gaming Series TV is designed specifically for gamers and shows in its performance. The TV’s Game Mode reduces input lag and improves response time, making it an excellent choice for gaming. The TV’s Quantum Dot Technology and Dolby Vision HDR also provide exceptional color accuracy and contrast, enhancing the overall gaming experience. The TV’s 60Hz refresh rate ensures smooth and seamless motion during fast-paced action scenes. Picture Settings The remote is a similar effort to previous and a slight improvement as it doesn’t attempt to cram as many buttons into a small space. Features Assembly is easy and, like before, there’s a cable clutter system to route cables through the protruding ‘feet’ of the stand for a tidier area. The stand supports the TV well, just like it did on the older model, but it takes up a lot of space. Panel uniformity is reasonable, but with a darker center despite the FALD. Sometimes, with some content, you may see a lighter image at the bottom edge. This is noticeable when you are sitting right in front of the TV. With a 5% decrease in brightness, the perimeter of the screen is again slightly brighter than the center. But the panel is clean and without the obvious Dirty Screen Effect (DSE). Therefore, sports programs look good.

With 4x more pixels than traditional Full HD, Hisense's 4K UHD resolution delivers breath taking picture quality and pin-sharp clarity. Compared to the U7QF, the A7G is a downgrade in features. Where the U7Q had Full Array local dimming the A7G makes do without. It’s not a full house for HDR formats either, with the Hisense able to decode HDR10+ but not officially certified for it. Which leads me to the one egregious aspect of the A7G’s design. The stand is just too big. If you have an area (or whatever furniture you’re using) big enough to accommodate both the A7G and a soundbar – and you will want to partner this TV with a soundbar – then it’s fine. If you don’t, the stand causes some unnecessary faffing about to make space.Watch the action unfold seamlessly with Smooth Motion: reducing blur and screen lag for clearer, more fluid scenes

It’s a curious situation, perhaps exacerbated by the new models in the Hisense range taking more importance. While the Hisense remains a capable performer, it falls short of in a few areas. Motion was also reasonably good with 24fps material looking decent for the most part, with only occasional judder noticeable with Ultra Smooth Motion switched off. 50Hz content also looked fair for the majority of content we viewed, without Ultra Smooth Motion engaged. We did notice some trailing edges on moving objects with action scenes or sports. When Ultra Smooth Motion is used, we encountered Soap Opera Effect (SOE) with the interpolation modes and, depending on the level of interpolation used, we also noticed more image artefacts with fast-moving objects breaking up at the edges as the system attempted to keep up with creating new frames with fast motion. As always, for purists, we would recommend disabling the Ultra Smooth Motion settings for film and drama content, but there are user settings for use with video content and sports if you feel you need those. The Hisense 50E77HQTUK QLED Gaming Series TV does not feature a One Connect Box. This feature is only available on Samsung TVs and allows you to connect all your devices to a single box, which then connects to the TV via a single cable. This reduces cable clutter and makes it easier to manage all your devices. Accessories Smart features are provided by the fifth generation of Hisense’s home-grown VIDAA system. This has evolved into a pretty effective platform these days, combining a crisp, clean layout with good responsiveness and a solid set of video streaming apps that now includes long-term absentee Disney Plus. There’s still no sign of Apple TV+, though.

While the 55A7GQ is cheap for a 55-inch TV, this is definitely one of those times where a low price doesn’t automatically equate to great value. With its 20W speaker system, the A7G offers a soundstage that’s flat and not especially dynamic. Given its size, a decent soundbar is a must, but judged on its own merits it offers solid clarity with dialogue; a presentation that’s clear, crisp and pleasingly sharp but refrains from wondering into sibilant territory. Hisense’s recent strong run of form comes to a shuddering halt with the 55A7GQ. Any good work this TV musters is completely overwhelmed and undermined by a contrast performance so poor that dark or even mid-bright scenes never look remotely convincing. In fact, it’s sometimes hard to even make out what’s going on. We consider this as a low price and a pretty good deal, that is why today we will take a closer look at the50A7GQTUK product features and specifications. The interface is separated into several sections, but apps is where the action is. The app selection is focused rather than bountiful; Netflix has pride of place on the top row and all the UK catch-up apps are covered (as Freeview Play), with Disney+ and Britbox available also. There’s VIDAA Free, which rounds up a selection of free content from the likes of Plex, Vevo, YouTube and Facebook Watch for more options.

Dolby Vision: Supporting all the latest HDR formats of HDR 10+, Dolby Vision™ and HLG to deliver brighter, more detailed scenes with enhanced contrast levels. You'll get colourful, sharp picture quality even though the HDR brightness could be better. And the design of the set will look smart in your living room. It's a shame that the sound isn't quite up to par, but that’s easily solved by hooking up a separate soundbar. The Hisense 50E77HQTUK QLED Gaming Series TV has built-in Wi-Fi and many network settings allowing accessible internet and other devices to connect easily. The TV’s network settings enable users to customize settings such as Wi-Fi connectivity, network name, and more. CalibrationThe Hisense 50E77HQTUK QLED Gaming Series TV has a 4K resolution, which means it offers four times the amount of pixels as a Full HD TV. This results in a more detailed and realistic picture, which is especially noticeable in gaming and movies. The TV also supports HDR content, including Dolby Vision HDR, which provides even more vibrant and lifelike colors. 8K Resolution The desktop stand also looks more metallic than it actually is, and its ’open’ style minimises the impact the TV has on your decor.

Let’s cut to the chase: the 55A7GQ’s picture quality turns out to be hugely disappointing, especially as it arrives amid a generally upward trajectory for Hisense TVs. The Hisense 50E77HQTUK QLED Gaming Series TV features QLED technology, which stands for Quantum Dot Light Emitting Diode. This technology uses tiny nanoparticles called quantum dots to enhance the TV’s color gamut and brightness. QLED displays offer a better overall picture quality than traditional LED displays and are more affordable than OLED and MicroLED displays. Ambient Mode Incredible entertainment and visual excellence are always at your fingertips with the Hisense 50A7GQTUK. Its stylish design and range of stunning features make every moment even more thrilling, whatever you want to watch. The A7GQ also features Hisense’s propriety smart TV system, VIDAA U5.0, as well as Freeview Play with all the UK terrestrial catch-up apps and services. The VIDAA system is intuitive to use and runs at a decent speed from button press to app opening and playing, plus there is Netflix, Prime Video and YouTube in 4K HDR. There is a content discovery feature along with direct one-press buttons on the remote and there is also compatibility with Alexa for voice commands. We’re now onto VIDAA U 5.0 and if there’s a difference between this version and previous one, then I’m not seeing it. That said, despite its plain appearance, there’s no argument about navigation and operation. The VIDAA interface is easy to use and there’s something to be said about an interface that settles for that level of simplicity. The new OLED and Mini LED sets take top billing for 2021, which has led to the QLED/ULED options shuffling down the line to make space, the A7G looking to offer HDR performance at an affordable price. The 50A7G TV stand is well designed and easily attaches to the cabinet. There are some cable management features built into the stand. The stand color is slightly different from the rest of the TV. The model is made in a metallic dark gray with a greenish tint. The material is plastic. Connections Let’s start with what’s good. The bezel is discreet enough to not intrude on the TV viewing experience, and the depth of the set is just 78mm without the stand, making it appreciatively slim in appearance.
