The fact that Paper Mario TTYD scored so high by the readers speaks VOLUMES as to how the first two titles fall in compared to later titles. I'm not impartial to Super Paper Mario and I HAVE played the later titles, but the original two hold a dear place with me and TTYD just improved on the predecessor in SO many ways. Mustve collectively dumped almost a thousand hours across several playthroughs throughout the years. I got it in my head at one point I could farm Amazy Dayzees and hit the level cap. I gave up somewhere around level 60 but I have SO many fond memories over the original entries in the series.

The different colors and appearances of the Pikmin symbolize what they're good at. Using their strengths will help players get through each level. There's a limited number of Pikmin so you have to be careful how you use them. It supports Nintendo Wii U, Switch, Mac OS, and PC USB with either the wired or the wireless GC controller. Splashy Cube dropped me into the first level without any hand-holding. I was told by the game to press A to start and given the two-button control scheme. But outside of that, I could choose my own adventure, so to speak. Is this cube an Arthurian hero trying to save the prince from a hidden dungeon? Maybe it is a race-cube driver trying to set the record for fastest hotlap. It can be anything that you want. What Makes a Good Game? The key to a good game is having the ability to make the player say “one more try” or “one more level.” Splashy Cube overwhelmingly succeeds in this category. I originally set aside 15 minutes to get some first impressions of the game. However, when I looked at my watch, 30 minutes had zipped by. If you have chores to do or scheduled commitments to keep, beware the vacuum of time this diversion creates. The additional promise of climbing up the leaderboard was my motivation to keep scooting through the levels. After an hour of gameplay, I owned that coveted top score. Top of the w… leaderboard! TheRealKyleHyde Nightfire was excellent. So much fun. I commented about it as well before I read yours. Glad to see it has other appreciators. Let's setup friendlies somewhere.

Despite competitive pricing and a great suite of GameCube games, the console inevitably suffered at the hands of the PS2 (which had been out for a year already) and the first-ever Xbox (which launched around the same time). Final Fantasy Crystal Chronicles takes the next spot in our best GameCube games on Switch list, bringing all the thrills and nail-biting moments from the original to a hybrid handheld near you.

And once you’ve finished Resident Evil 0, you can move seamlessly onto the actual first game in the series, the next entry in out GameCube games on Switch list! Well, while you wait for your favourite GC titles to appear on the streaming platform, there’s already a whole host of GameCube games on Switch that you can play right away. The cube planet is an expansive world featuring a wide array of brutalist architecture that ranges from foggy nightmarish abysses, to oppressive lava lit factories, to uplifting natural landscapes full of golden rays of sunshine glistening against mountains. There’s a new surprise around every corner! Gamecube is my favorite console (SNES close 2nd) . Many of what I consider the best games of all time are on this list. WW is an excellent choice for top game. Viewtiful Joe 1 and 2 remaster please. Ah so many memories. Glad to see Eternal Darkness placing fairly high on the list. I'd love to play that game again, but it's ridiculously expensive now. Were there any ACTUAL GameCube fans and/or GameCube exclusive appreciators participating in this quest to rank the very best of them? In Wind Waker, players take to the sea as the silent hero, Link, as he journeys to save his sister. He's joined by the pirate captain, Tetra, and her crew as they band together to fight Ganon. His talking boat, the King of Red Lions, helps guide Link along the way and carries him across the water. You might guess from the GameCube cover above, but this game never actually came out for Western gamers. This is the first time that PAL and NTSC players could step into the magical world of DrillLand, venturing into the earth to play through drilling-based attractions.

And yeah, no Custom Robo? No Star Fox Adventures OR Assault? No Final Fantasy: The Crystal Chronicles? Boo. Whenever someone mentions tigers or Tasmania, I always think of Ty. You might be thinking that I just made this up for the purposes of this article, but it’s 100% true.Wexter That's my main problem with the list really, for example Sonic Mega Collection was great at the time but it's irrelevant now :/ I bought a Gamecube for F-Zero (easily my #1 for this console), which is interesting because I didn't really like the original and never played the one for N64. I went on to discover many, many amazing games, most of which didn't make this list at all or are at best ranked much lower than I had hoped. Oh well, everyone is entitled to their own opinion, but the fact that Cubivore didn't make the top 10 means everyone else's opinions are WRONG.
