Amy Tucker is only visiting for the night and has no plans to get caught up in the hysteria, but that changes when she meets Ryan, the loyal, hard-working son of a ranch owner who lives on the outskirts of town. The romance was barely touched on, which some readers might be annoyed by, but I appreciated it as romance in fiction isn't really my thing. There’s a palpable sense of grief that is endured by Amy and the writing by the author is so beautiful that the town of Seabrook becomes a visual experience. Try imagining a tennis ball flying slowly through the air; and then stand outside yourself and count how many dimensions your brain is really tracking, it isn't 4, it resolves X,Y and Z into a 2D path plotted over dimension 't'.

As a consequence I didn’t enjoy it so much and whilst I did really like the way that the book veered away from a “happy ever after” ending, it left me feeling flat. But all is not what it seems in Seabrook and when strange events begin happening around town, they question if their meeting really was an accident at all. Amy’s right in the middle of a mystery, and she somehow finds herself entering the forsaken and crumbling lighthouse. If an author can take a person, who’s been reading all thrillers because they match the mood of a person whose life destruction, devastation and most gut wrenching losses, could not be opened to ‘anything’ other than living in the dark and suffocating through the pain, and then make me feel all this wonderful……. To give a vague idea about what I mean without quoting the actual book, most of the dialogue was similar to things like "Oh, I'm so glad you did that! This book hovers somewhere between paranormal and magical realism, but it's definitely more YA than adult. A good friend bought me a bottle of port, which he thought was a very authorly drink, so I plan to have a wee tipple on the eve of release! Magical realisism, with some truly lovely imagery, that deals with lonliness, loyalty and loss, sad and at other times funny. Characters within a story are complex non-physical objects and even worse they start doing things all on their own!

In the series "Snjór" (snow in Islandic), the artist magnifies the nature's power and shoots landscapes buried under a deep snow in which the isolated habitations are hardly outlined.

This beauty here has permeated every fiber and bone inside me, at a time in my life in which I let nothing into my heart anymore, this story and these characters crashed right through. His words strung, creating the world I just visited, managed to penetrate a heart where light has gone dark and has been blocked off closed for many years. I didn’t even want to read a book that was full of the magic that’s in here, but I did and everything I’ve written here is exactly the intensity of emotions I feel. With its modern and thin frame, available in the colors black, white, gold and silver, you mount an amazing looking artwork on your wall.

Ultimately the book explores grief, and how different people cope with it, along with dealing with the aftermath of bad decisions.

Picasso’s sizable oeuvre grew to include over 20,000 paintings, prints, drawings, sculptures, ceramics, theater sets, and costume designs. Our mission is to help you discover the artists that we admire and make it easy for you to purchase their works. A courier collects the package from us and takes the package to a depot where it usually stays overnight. Amy and Ryan are strong characters who have had sad events in their lives before they meet, so they make a deep connection to each other, having so much in common.
