I do think, however, that with Megumi, there is a branched storyline that will materialize in book 4. In the previous book we saw exactly how far Gideon is prepared to go to keep Eva safe but now he is facing the fallout. Her devastation was so real that it’s almost impossible to fake and there’s the added complication of her ex-boyfriend, hot rocker Brett Kline being in town and watching to catch up with the view of perhaps something more. Gideon Cross was an impossibly gorgeous man, so beautiful that people stopped and stared when he walked by. I think you hit the nail on the head: Gideon and Eva’s relationship is extremely dysfunctional and as such, there would be no way that type of situation could be resolved in a short amount of time.

I was sticky with sweat from an intense Krav Maga class, and my mind was spinning with thoughts of what the man I loved had done. I’d take him anyway I could get him, but it’d been so long… My skin was already tingling and tightening expectantly, craving the greedy reverence of his touch. It would give Gideon peace of mind that Eva wouldn’t stray (not that I am saying that she would-I don’t think so), but Gideon can also keep an eye on Cary and help Eva with him if necessary. The sex was overdone and became redundant…I know it’s supposed to be hot, but when you have no plot line whatsoever and try to use the sex scenes to fill your pages, it becomes annoying. She’s pretty adamant that she’s not going to go away until she knows the truth and that Eva can expect to see her/hear from her again.

I wanted some closure with this book, but once I heard it was going from three to five novels, I knew at least one of those books was going to be a “filler” book. So now I can’t get the HEA I was promised for ANOTHER 2 books and based on how many times the release date for Book 3 was pushed back we’re looking at sometime around 2015 before we get the ending of the Gideon and Eva Saga. There are still sooo many unanswered questions and I for one am glad that there is more to Eva and Gideon's story to come as I am not ready to let them go yet!I can see why people might be a little upset about the release dates and the extension of the books.
