An electrical wall box should be pre-installed with an Ethernet cable running from the box to a UniFi Switch with PoE. When comparing the UAP-AC-Lite, UAP-AC-LR, and UAP-AC-Pro (all ac Wave 1) for example, in a clear environment the LR is usable at further distances, but in any congested environment that just means the AP will be able to receive more interference, making it less useful.

I would like for the AP to penetrate to the outdoors to support a Ring doorbell, so signal strength is important. From most of what I've read, the Pro seems like the strongest on paper. The Pro is stronger per Jardin's sheet which includes speeds and signal strengths for the Pro and the HD, but maybe the HD works better with lower signal strengths? The HD has Wave 2 support and MU-MIMO, which is theoretically better for multiple clients and higher speeds at 5GHz. Looking at the Ubiquiti radiation patterns, it looks like the Pro is the most powerful? The HD has more antennas per the datasheet. But it is hard to understand how much this all matters in a home environment.
