With the focus ring in its normal position, manual focusing works just like it does on any other Micro Four Thirds lens. The crops also reveal the blobs to cleaner shapes, whereas the 40-150mm blobs show some visible onion-ringing.

As a lightweight, compact telezoom lens, it delivers fast performance so you can work quickly in challenging environments. I tried the 40-150 Pro+MC-20 on BIF and I think I had similar results as you at 300 mm, wide open or nearly wide open.As I’ve said many times before though, continuous autofocus remains an Achilles’ Heel for Olympus and I know many people will be considering this lens for sports or action photography.

You can find the same shot taken without the teleconverter for comparison in my gallery and note the aperture selected delivered the best result in this instance.
