In conclusion, it's best to avoid computers, tablets and laptops based on the N4000 and opt for those with either the N4100 or the N4120. These two are within touching distance of a 7th generation Intel Core i3 processor, which is to say they are quite nippy indeed when paired with an SSD and plenty of memory. Acceptable laptop screens graduated to 1,920-by-1,080-pixel or higher resolutions years ago, but you can still find 1,366-by-768 panels in the 11.6-inch segment. Such a low pixel count means the Samsung won't show fine details, and letters look faintly fuzzy. You’ll especially notice this when watching videos from the likes of Netflix and Disney Plus, and is arguably the laptop’s biggest weak point.

System and Maximum TDP is based on worst case scenarios. Actual TDP may be lower if not all I/Os for chipsets are used. Given the cost of the Acer Chromebook 314, don’t expect this laptop to turn any heads. On the design front things are arguably as expected.
