Description

An Aluminium Perforated Closure Trim is an essential element for installing Cladco Fibre Cement Wall Cladding Boards . Designed with small holes, Performated Closure Trims encourage airflow and ventilation whilst preventing small animals/insects and debris from entering. It is fine to use this method for cutting L angle trims and end caps however. Avoid joins in your trims There’s no bending and twisting the panels into place around previously fitted trims so it gives you a lot more freedom whilst installing.

These FloPlast plasticcladdingtrims are suitable for external use on buildings as a decorative and protective facing. Theyare used to fix the cladding vertically, horizontally and diagonally over most building surfaces. When installed correctly PVCu Cladding will reduce the thermal lose by adding an external barrier. PVC Cladding Systems have been assessed and given an A+ rating which allows the house builder / specifier to claim the code for sustainable homes the maximum of three points when using PVC cladding on an external wall system. The most essential tool when it comes to fitting your trims, used to measure any edges so you can cut the trims accurately. Measuring SquareTrims are used to finish off any untidy corners or edges that would have otherwise been exposed once you had finished fitting your cladding, perhaps your ceiling is uneven and you don’t have the necessary time or skill to scribe each individual panel to fit the bumps and dips in 08-the adjoining surface, that is where trims come in. They cover up a multitude of sins without the need to cover with silicone.

Fitting your cladding trims after you have fitted the panels can be a lot easier in some situations. Cladding trims will allow you a bit of freedom when it comes to your edges. You wont have to worry about getting the edges perfect as you will have a decorative trim to cover any mishaps and gaps. Below are the most important points to consider when taking your measurements: Do you require a mitred corner or edge to allow for trimming corners? You must be careful and take your time while cutting to ensure you don’t damage the profile of the trim. For example if you’re fitting a trim over a 2m join, using a trim that measures 2.7m, you aren’t going to be able to utilise the 0.7m off cut effectively without having a joint with another cutting of trim. A utility knife can be used to easily score the trims so that they simply snap along the score line. Important tips

To measure for trims correctly you must allow for a small excess. This will account for any mitred edges you may need to cut. Uneven walls that bow or taper towards one end may prove difficult for even the most avid DIYer to cut to, which may result in gaps. With trims, these edges do not have to be perfect, as whichever trim is needed will cover most gaps in a decorative fashion. Why should I fit cladding trims?Ventilation gaps within the Closure Trims, paired with the 50mm space between the battens and boards, work together to ensure your building has adequate airflow to prevent moisture from building up. Trims are used to cover any internal, external or open edges with a decorative finish. This is the most simple method of achieving a nice tidy finish to your cladding. Each trim is available in a style that will compliment any cladding design. You can either silicone or screw the trims in place depending on the situation. Screws are recommended for internal corners or coving fitted before the cladding.

Cladding trims are designed to add a clean, professional finishing touch to a cladding project. There are multiple types of cladding trims for different areas of use. Perforated Closures are supplied in 3m lengths with a 40mm width. We can only provide a delivery date and are not able to confirm the time delivery will be attempted. Therefore, we ask that somebody is able to accept and sign for your items throughout the started delivery date.Cladco Perforated Closures are an essential aspect of any fibre cement cladding project. Simply attach the Closures to the base of your project before installing the first board. Perforated Closures should also be fixed above any windows and doors where fibre cement boards will be fitted. Please see our Fibre Cement Cladding Installation Guide for further information. Fitting trims to corners or wall to ceiling joins look great if they’re in one piece. One continuous trim always looks better, rather than many offcuts used together to cover one join. This is usually avoidable.
