Then I was shown the Techno XT posibly one of the ugliest pushchairs she brought out in that the colours were grey and boring. folds down perfect for small cars and easy to take away on holidays and trips always highly recommend. After trying out another stroller to replace my large travel system I was left dissatisfied until I bought the Maclaren techno xt.

For me, it was slightly heavier than our Quest, it’s a bit more hefty lugging it in and out of the car boot. But DD is only small and slight so it is perfect for us, whereas friend has the Techno for her bigger heavier DS and she says it's a brilliant pushchair too. While this stroller may have some easy-to-use features, overall, it disappointed with the second-lowest weight and folded size score, a convoluted and challenging harness and buckle, and a poor score for maneuverability. Still, the Techno also has divided pockets on the back of the canopy (above right) for additional storage of quick-access items you can still reach when the baby is napping. It is an easy umbrella fold buggy, you can glide between the bus seats without unfolding it ( especially when the child is sleeping).Tall and very tall parents will love adjustable handlebars (which are very rare in umbrella strollers) that go from 42″ up to 44″ from the ground.

As your child grows, you will need to rethread the shoulder straps to adjust the height; all but one of our testers found this easy to accomplish. Using the knowledge he garnered while inventing the Supermarine Spitfire undercarriage, he took lightweight, collapsible aluminium tube structures and made the world's first lightweight umbrella fold buggy. The wheels are the biggest weakness, but inflatable ones are not desirable for buggies and would not go on it at all. Maclaren provides a LIFETIME warranty from the original date of purchase and you have to be the original owner. It feels pretty sold, the ride is actually remarkably smooth and my daughter actually finds it much more comfortable than the Britax. My youngest preferred going to sleep in this buggy rather than his own bed so must be very comfy and came with rain cover, great value for money. A rarity for a stroller, the Techno XT has suspension so your baby will not be bounced about, I checked this feature with Fifi on some cobbles by St Albans Abbey a nd she survived unscathed. when wandering around it would have to be the ability to fold down with ease… having to juggle a toddler whilst trying to fold a buggy in the pouring rain or when going on holiday is not fun. However, the Techno XT does feature a built-in mesh foot barrier (to keep baby from sliding out), shoulder harness pads and a head-hugging pillow insert to keep infants safe and cozy. Since then, the Maclaren company has been big player in the design of lightweight and portable umbrella strollers.

Most of our parent testers told us they could fold the stroller with one hand while holding their child in the other with little difficulty.Suitable from birth, it fits in the car, umbrella folds so it doesn’t take up the whole hallway, it’s comfortable for even the sturdiest three and a half year old.

The fabrics are removable and washable, and there is a full recline 4-position seat with Dupont™ Sorona® insulation, one-handed adjustment and a leg rest with memory position. I am also attaching a video of a Maclaren buggy wheels being removed as the system is pretty much the same on all the umbrella stroller models from Maclaren. In our tests, we thought the Maclaren Techno XT was a breeze to fold and unfold, and our parent testers agreed. My 6ft 3 husband thinks its great and says he likes the look because its not too girly too push around and he doesnt have to bend over! Most strollers in the review weigh less than the Techno, making it one of the heavier strollers to lift and carry. The newer version features an extendable UPF 50+ hood with an improved sun visor, a bigger peek-a-boo window and mesh panels on either side allowing the air to circulate through. In weather that requires extra coverage, just unzip the top of the canopy to extend it and it will almost completely cover your child.
