Description

We've seen the Ryzen 7 7735HS before in other Mini PCs, and it's a very impressive processor offering eight cores and sixteen threads and a default TDP range of 35 to 54W. As this isn't a laptop with a battery, this version gets to use its full 54W envelope, and it also gets the benefit of not using the Radeon 680M integrated GPU but the independently powered RX 6600M. Dual 2.5G Ethernet Ports】Sleek design dual 2.5-gigabit ethernet port design provides more applications, such as firewalls, multichannel aggregation, file storage servers, etc. At the same time, dual-band Wi-Fi6, BT5.2 with more substantial resisting disturbance and more stable wireless signal. No matter how complicated your environment, MINISFORUM NAB5 mini desktop computers can provide a relatively stable and smooth network. We've seen plenty of brands brandishing the word 'Game' for Mini systems when they've only integrated GPUs. And while these have been getting progressively better, they don't yet compete with even the lowest rung on the discrete graphics card ladder. The Minisforum Neptune Series HX90G is a stylish compact gaming PC for Full-HD gaming without compromises. Minisforum were kind to borrow a computer based on AMD CPU and GPU architecture. What makes this product special is the fact that it does not rely on a low-power integrated GPU, but it is equipped with a discrete GPU powerful enough to enable some high-quality gaming, but more on that later.

On to Cyberpunk 2077 next which is a highly demanding game and a great test of performance. Cyberpunk Benchmark Results In terms of storage, this mini Ryzen desktop offers an M.2 2280 PCIe4.0 SSD slot that supports up to 4TB of lightning-fast storage. This means you can store your entire digital library, including games, videos, and creative projects, all in one place. Additionally, the MinisForum HX99G Mini PC features an M.2 2280 SSD slot that supports NGFF SATA or NVMe PCIe4.0 SSD, providing flexibility and expandability for your storage needs. We can see again at 4K resolution that the HX99G gaming mini PC is in 3rd place, and at 1080P the HX99G jumps up to 2nd place with the NUCXi7 still in front. But at 720P the HX99G takes a massive leap ahead of the NUCXi7. Very impressive and a great frame rate if you play at 720P! Call of Duty Modern Warfare 2 Powerful Performance: The MinisForum HX99G Mini Ryzen desktop stands out with its AMD Ryzen 9 6900HX processor and AMD Radeon RX 6600M GPU, offering exceptional processing power and graphics performance for gaming, content creation, and productivity tasks.

At 4K we can see the HX99G mini PC for gaming in third place with the NUCXi5 and i7 taking the lead. Due to a technical difficulty, we couldn't benchmark the HX77G, something we really wanted to do. What this system promises is the computing performance of the AMD Ryzen 7 7735HS, an eight-core hyperthreading CPU mashed with the video processing capability of the AMD Radeon RX 6600M. HX99G adopts the same cooling solution as the HX90G. It has 7- heat-pipes (3 for CPU and 4 for GPU) and dual fans inside. The computers use liquid metal on the CPU and GPU and have cases that incorporate carbon fiber. The excellent heat dissipation design enables the HX99G to maintain relatively low noise even under full load. I’m a big fan of the Minisforum HX99G. In fact, it’s difficult to find anything truly wrong with it other than some particular issues with my unit. For example, it seems like the model I received struggles with display output inconsistencies, where it simply won’t output to any monitor from any of the HDMI or USB4 ports. I never did figure out the problem, and I suspect a manufacturing defect is to blame. Minisforum warns you upfront not to mess with the cooler on the CPU and GPU unless you know what you’re doing with liquid metal, so I don’t recommend taking it apart. Minisforum Neptune HX99G review: PerformanceThe HX99G features an AMD Ryzen 9 6900HX Rembrandt APU. This processor is based on the AMD Zen3+ architecture, and it was the best APU AMD had when this product first came out a few months ago. Furthermore, it is paired with Radeon RX 6600M discrete GPU which has more than twice as many GPU cores as the integrated RDNA2 GPU into the APU. ymdhisIf one of these things came with more decent networking (1GbE + 10GbE), it would probably be my next main PC. This and cool them with a proper exchangeable 120mm fan for low noise. The AMD APU scores 2076 points in single-core Geekbench test and 9695 points in multicore workload. Those are better results than 6900HS or 6900H variants, and 14% to 32% increase over last-gen 5900HX APU. Except for the barebones version, all versions come with Windows 11 Pro pre-installed. The barebones version does not include RAM and SSD; therefore, it does not have pre-installed Windows 11 Pro. As part of the MinisForum HX99G review we run a few system benchmarks covering CPU, GPU, RAM & Storage speed. As well as different usages such as general software, gaming and video editing. This gives us some data which we can use to see the overall performance and also compare to other gaming mini PC’s. PassMark
