It's an interesting idea, but it's under baked in a few crucial ways at this stage. For a start, it's buggy, and often crashes or causes unexpected effects in apps – this will be a deal-breaker for a lot of pros on its own, assuming the apps you use don't mesh well with it. Fast-charging isn’t that remarkable on the iPad Pro 2021, which means it takes a little longer to charge than some Android tablets such as the Samsung Galaxy Tab S7 Plus. Its 18W charging is noticeably slower than Samsung’s top-end tablet, which supports 45W, and we found the tablet was capable of recharging from zero to full in around two hours and 45 minutes using the charger provided in the box. When measured diagonally as a rectangle, the iPad Pro 12.9‑inch screen is 12.9 inches, the iPad Pro 11‑inch screen is 11 inches, the iPad Air and iPad (10th generation) screens are 10.86 inches, and the iPad mini screen is 8.3 inches. Actual viewable area is less. A12Z Bionic is designed to be put to work, especially with pro apps. The Magic Keyboard keyboard is a touch more cramped than a laptop’s, and the iPadOS software isn’t fully integrated in the way it is on a MacBook, but it’s a good alternative if you can only buy one device. On the other short edge is the sleep/wake button (though it can be woken by tapping the screen), and two more speaker vents. The mini-LED screen of the iPad Pro 12.9-inch remains unique in Apple's tablet range. Apple refers to it as an XDR Display, implying that it's like an HDR (high dynamic range) screen, but even more x-treme. And, to be fair, when compared to other tablet (or the vast majority of laptop) screens, they're not wrong.

The display is one area where Apple has noticeably upped its game for the new iPad Pro 2021, with a top-end 12.9-inch screen. If you’d prefer a smaller premium tablet you can buy the 2021 iPad Pro 11-inch, but the screen tech isn’t as impressive on that device.
