The movie Lightyear hits theaters June 17. It’s a Toy Story spin-off, but what it is, exactly, is sort of hard to wrap your mind around (or at least it is for me). Lightyear is a sci-fi movie within the Toy Story universe. It’s the movie that spawned the Buzz Lightyear action figure we all know and love from the Toy Story movies. To help differentiate the toy version of Buzz from the sci-fi movie character version, Chris Evans will voice Buzz in Lightyear, rather than Tim Allen. Make sense?
