Then there's the characters. In addition to doing amazing work with Puss, the cast of supporting ones is superb. Every character is fully rounded. And gets their own storylines with a beginning a middle and an end. We also get a really great villain. A character who is out and out bad. Who know they're that way. And goes with it. That's the way to write a great villain. They do have motivation, so they are three dimensional. But bad with it anyway. It's great.

The characters are well-established, flawed, and loveable. The dialogue between all of them is witty and the comedic pacing is really clever. The villains are like taking bites out of each chocolate from a variety box, and loving all of the flavours. They’re so fun, and honestly downright spooky at times, almost horror movie-like in the best way. And you clearly understand everyone’s motives, they’re all laid out there. I’m so happy I didn’t need to do any guess-work or expect a secret plot-twist that’s vaguely hinted at. Fearless hero lyrics vid. A three min music vid of the aforementioned song. With all new animation. And lyrics on the screen so you can karaoke. You will want to. It's so good. ALL-NEW EXCLUSIVE SHORT “THE TRIDENT” - When you're the legendary Puss in Boots, life and death go paw in paw. In this epic original short, Puss recalls one of his most daring deaths yet.Just over eleven years since Puss in Boots from the Shrek films got his own solo movie, we suddenly get a sequel to it. You probably could get into this easily if you hadn't seen any of the Shrek films. Or the 2011 Puss in Boots movie. I think it's better to have seen them first though, as you will get a little more out of this if you have. That's the only note of caution. Because all the rest of this is utterly perfect. An amazing viewing experience and you'll never forget it. I can't recommend it highly enough. As mentioned above, this will depend on the success of the film at the box office. If it doesn’t do so well then the standard rental could be brought forward with Easter being a very good release period for animated films on home entertainment. Puss in Boots: The Last Wish is rated PG. Parental guidance is suggested, meaning some material may not be suitable for children. Parents are urged to give "parental guidance." The movie may contain some material parents might not like for their young children. 7.9

It is perhaps a tiny bit too scary for the very young. I would say under eight. Because it does deal with death and mortality. In the shape - literally - of one rather scary character. That is why it's a pg certificate. Just be aware of that, parents. The visual style of Puss In Boots The Last Wish looks very cool, which is one of the big reasons it did so well in cinemas in North America. However, if you’ve been holding out for the standard digital rental it’s only recently available in the US (03/20/2023). If you look at the rationale behind the difference in the release dates between the US and UK, it’s probably to do with post-COVID nervousness and audience differences around the winter holidays. This could just be the plan for cinema and then to brings things a little more in-line for home premier and standard rental, so we’ll try to keep you updated here. Hola amigos! It's the sequel you never expected! And possibly didn't ask for! But it didn't take quite as long as Senor Cameron did with his. IN THE BEGINNING - Go behind the scenes with the filmmakers of PUSS IN BOOTS: THE LAST WISH to discover how they brought this great tale to life.HOW TO DRAW THE PURRFECT PAWTRAIT - Join Director Joel Crawford and Co-Director Januel Mercado as they teach us how to draw our favorite characters.

There's the music. A superb score with some amazing music. The opening musical number 'who is your favourite fearless hero?' is incredibly good, a wonderful tune with catchy lyrics that will stay on your mind. How to make a paper Perrito: Six mins of Puss and someone else showing you how to make a paper version of him. Well done and interesting. And more cats! Parental supervision required on the making of though. The animation is stunning. Looking like story books at times. Going into interestingly different styles for action scenes, which really makes those work. The voice cast are amazing. Antonio Banderas knows how to play this role, and he sings and emotes and makes you laugh and emotional. Ray Winstone was born to voice Papa Bear of the three bears. It's an amazing voice performance. As it is with the actor who does Perrito also.Whilst DreamWorks has never tried to produce the quantity of animations that we see pouring out of the Disney Studios, with or without the assistance of Pixar, the breadth and originality of DreamWork’s stories, and the quality of their animation, is exceptional. The riotous ‘Shrek’ franchise; the hugely enjoyable ‘How to Train Your Dragon’ series; lesser titles ‘Kung Fu Panda’ and “Madagascar’; all have proved hugely popular. But to date, their glorious reimagining of the European fairy tale ‘Puss In Boots’, has been top of the tree. Now however, there is a new No. 1, the stupendously, stonkingly good, sequel. We loved the original ‘Puss’ from 2011, but this is even better. The film came out in cinemas on the 3rd February 2023 in the UK, so the release on home premier rental over here is close to our target range of late-March/early-April 2023. This is pretty much bag on the expected 45-60 days from its initial release on the big screen.
