The story has a lot of focus on Gabrielle an art consultant who is putting her life together after her husband finds “new” romance with Sasha someone closer to his their daughter age than his! As usual, Danielle Steele has delivered a romance with a strong female protagonist, my favorite kind of female character. Both strive to continue the hotel’s tradition for excellence but even they were not prepared for what happened on that September evening. Our team is made up of book lovers who are dedicated to sourcing and providing the best books for kids. My first was The Promise back in 1977; I was a big Danielle Steel fan and could not wait until her next novel was release.

The story started out with four sub-plots, but one, the most interesting IMHO, took the forefront and saved the story.Among the guests are a distinguished art consultant recovering from a difficult divorce; a middle-aged doctor who receives the news that he has a terminal illness; a senior politician who is being blackmailed; and a couple who think they’ve finally found happiness only to find it taken away from them in one terrifying incident.

A happy couple in love, both coming off divorces, looking forward to enjoying Paris, takes a tragic turn, when her boyfriend has a heart attack. The assistant manager had retired after Lavalle’s death, unable to conceive of being the adjutant to a less extraordinary general, and had moved to a home in Spain. And a couple will find their once-in-a-lifetime trip struck by a medical emergency, leaving the future they’ve longed for hanging in the balance.Their lives have been an extraordinary adventure, and every precious moment, even the hardest, is a gift.
