Unfortunately for me, I have small fingers, so this is always something that bothers me on single cut guitars. Firstly, the guitar is not really targeting beginner players. While there is nothing wrong with buying this as your first guitar, the majority of beginners will not be willing to invest as much in “testing the waters.” Usually, beginners will go for something inexpensive (or as close to it as possible). ESP LTD EC-1000 is one of those (relatively rare) guitars that have their design and sound perfectly balanced. It sounds just like you would expect it to (or hope for it to) by looking at the instrument, and it looks exactly how you want it to look if you like the way it sounds. Here are its most important features one by one: Body If you are looking for a metal machine with a heavy tone, EMGs and a proper modern Les Paul - look no further, this is the one.

And on paper, the EC-1000 is objectively a fantastic guitar, especially when you consider the price. For example, FR models are ones with Floyd Rose, QM have a quilt maple top, and if you see Evertune in the name, that is another version of EC-1000 with a different bridge. For those unaware, Evertune allows you to keep your guitar in tune no matter what. If you’re looking for a guitar that says “I am special” at very first sight, ESP LTD EC-1000 is going to satisfy you. Although in comparison with some of the other iconic ESP guitars (e.g. the legendary ESP Arrow) this model looks quite traditional, the thoughtful details like golden lining and unique abalone inlays always remind you that this is a real stunner. Stable tuning The one thing that I could think about replacing is the nut. As in all the models it is made of plastic or molded plastic, which also found on Fender and Gibson guitars. So, I would recommend replacing it with a graph tech nut, which isn’t that expansive. The guitar weighs approximately 9.5 pounds which is a standard for a full-bodied electric instrument of this size. It feels sturdy, dense, and highly durable. In comparison with some other similar guitars (e.g. Gibson Les Paul), EC-1000 feels a bit slimmer in your hands. This probably also contributes to the great overall playability of this instrument. You can turn on the tuners, bend as much as you want, and your guitar will keep the tune regardless of what you do.

For the most part, all of the ESP LTD lines of guitars are modeled after ESP’s official premium guitars. The LTD EC-1000 is no exception, sharing the same design as the ESP Eclipse E-II. Moreover, it is always easier to find a guitar from the EC-1000 series that already has Seymour Duncans. You will save yourself a lot of time and money, and you won’t need to upgrade or replace anything.A similar thing applies to the rest of the guitar as well. You already have plenty of options when it comes to bridges, so why not go for the one you like? Well, this is actually a common theme among guitars. For the top of the line Japanese or American guitars, you’ll ultimately be paying a premium. The cost of labor is much more expensive in these areas, which dramatically ramps up the price. For example, if you’re interested in playing blues, jazz, country, or pop, a Les Paul or a Stratocaster is much better at handling low gain tones. You can find an Epiphone Les Paul or a Mexican Stratocaster for cheaper, and they’ll get the job done. The Verdict This version of the EC-1000 features the EverTune bridge. The EverTune bridge has a revolutionary design that ensures your guitar stays in perfect tune no matter what. It does this by keeping a constant state of tension on the strings regardless of temperature or humidity changes. If you live in an area where there is a lot of climate change or is humid, you should definitely consider this model. It sounds like it’s too good to be true, but I can assure you that it works like a dream. There’s a bit of a learning curve when it comes to setting one up properly, but once done, you basically never have to retune your guitar. You should get an instant answer on whether your application has been successful, though in some rare cases Klarna or V12 may need to look at the application in more detail.

I should mention that EMGs are great for any genre. While the majority of players are into heavy metal, progressive, or anything else that requires a lot of overdrive, this doesn’t mean that you can’t play blues on it. With the right type of pedals, you can use EC-1000 for any music genre you can imagine. ESP EC-1000 Is Perfect For Whom? But why would you? You already have EMGs/Fishman/Seymour Duncan in your guitar, and you will have a challenging time finding something better. Needless to say, it comes to a personal preference and what kind of sound you’re looking for. In this article, I’ll be giving a comprehensive review of the ESP LTD EC-1000, breaking down its specs, features, playability, and sound. Having owned several of these guitars, I’ll be able to break down all of the nuances of this guitar, so you’ll know exactly what to expect.

ESP LTD guitars usually boast exceptional durability and this instrument is no different. It’s made of solid dense tonewood and all the components feel very firm and reliable too. It certainly appeals mostly to those who prefer playing heavier genres, allowing them to enjoy the benefits of its great sustain, aggressive sound, and physical predispositions for a super-fast style of play. Needless to say, on a cheap amp, the guitar won’t sound nearly as good. Considering the price of the instrument, there is a high chance you already own a decent amp, so you won’t need to worry about anything. The HH combination and the shape will give you a similar sound and feeling, but it will not be the exact same situation as with ESP. For those who are looking for something a bit different, Dean might be a perfect choice. The body features a Les Paul single cut style, but much thinner. This makes it a lot more comfortable to rest in your lap. I've bought this guitar because i needed a solid and good sounding axe to play with the band . And i've got to say , i'm not dissapointed at all , i'm actually very impressed Matt Finish Warning - Please note that the matt finish used on this guitar marks incredibly easily. During the final factory inspection & our own internal quality control inspection its impossible to completely remove finger marks & light playing marks. Anyone who buys one of these guitars should do so in the knowledge that this finish will probably arrive with some minor marks, and that certainly after a few hours playing it will never look pristine again. If you want a guitar that will arrive & potentially stay pristine, then please find the gloss finish version of this guitar. Thanks! Even though the price might seem too high, keep in mind that Les Paul can cost two or three times more, so this might be the best single-cut guitar you can find. At least when it comes to value.
