In the second half, manager Alex McLeish selected Beattie to play on the field alongside Rangers and rest of the world legends. He said: “I love the venue – it’s really something special – and we have had some great times at Radisson RED. These adverts enable local businesses to get in front of their target audience – the local community.
I grew up in a post Thatcher Britain, in a fairly rough part of Scotland, raised by my dad, and experienced the poverty and roughness of those times first hand,” he comments. In the three years since his debut, he has gone from playing to “two men and a dug” in pubs to selling 6,000 tickets in a couple of days, wowing a big crowd at TRNSMT last year, and performing at a sold-out two nights at SWG3. My manager Dave made it all happen – he asked what I wanted and took away all the stuff that can get in the way; he created the perfect environment and mood for me.
