Description

Kirby and the Rainbow Curse is the first Kirby series game compatible with the Kirby series amiibo (including their Super Smash Bros. series amiibo counterparts), which can be scanned in to give Kirby a bonus during the playthrough of a stage. The bonus obtained depends on the figure used, and can only be used once a day. The Kirby amiibo allows for unlimited Star Dashes, the King Dedede amiibo provides two extra hit points and the Meta Knight amiibo allows for fast dashing through weaker enemies. Some amiibo can work in Super Smash Bros. Ultimate even if they don't correspond to one of the fighters in the game. Instead, these amiibo will give you corresponding Spirits. The Spirits you can get from amiibo range from Novice to Legendary and can be either Support or Primary. We've listed all those compatible amiibo below with their prices when available. Again, some of these are quite expensive because of limited availability. In The Ultimate Choice, different amiibo can be used up to 7 times in a row during a run, but this marks the results as using amiibo. While inside a stage, an amiibo can be scanned in to give Kirby some items. Scanning in a Kirby series amiibo, a Kirby character amiibo from the Super Smash Bros. series, or the Qbby amiibo will give Kirby two Picture Pieces, a pre-determined food item, and two Point Stars. Scanning in any other amiibo will give Kirby one Picture Piece, a cherry, and two Point Stars. This can be done at any point in the stage, even during Boss fights. Kirby's Return to Dream Land Deluxe's amiibo functionality is very similar to Kirby Star Allies. While inside a stage in Story Mode or Extra Mode, scanning in a Kirby series amiibo (or a Qbby amiibo) will give Kirby a Random Copy Essence, a pre-determined food item, and two Point Stars. Scanning in any other amiibo will give Kirby a cherry and twelve Point Stars. amiibo can be scanned in Magolor Epilogue: The Interdimensional Traveler, but won't give Magolor a Random Copy Essence and Point Stars since they cannot be used in this mode. The player can't use more than seven amiibo in a row, and the count will reset after clearing a stage. In The Arena and The True Arena, amiibo usage is marked if they have been completed successfully.

Drill Rush is another one of Meta Knight’s best moves, and using it often actually makes this fighter’s matchup against Incineroar somewhat workable! Use this on the ground from a short distance away, but never use it in the air. Meta Knight’s AI arcs Drill Rush in a strange angle if it does, and this angle sometimes leads to self-destructs.

These items appear over Kirby's head and slowly float down to the ground when the Kirby amiibo is scanned. References the three Mii Fighters: Brawler, Gunner, and Swordfighter. Which one Kirby gets is determined at random. Waddle Dee - Adds four statues of Waddle Dee and allows a remix of Floral Fields to play, similar to the version from Dedede's Drum Dash Deluxe. Kirby changes color to match a Waddle Dee, and wields a spotted blue parasol instead of the usual one, also gaining a bandana similar to Bandana Waddle Dee's.

No forward tilt and no special moves. As mentioned previously, Meta Knight’s AI won’t finish its three-hit forward tilt combo and often self-destructs when taught to use its special moves. It’s disappointing, yes, but avoiding these moves is the best way to ensure that your Raid Boss lives for as long as possible. It's also unclear which amiibo you can use. Fear not though, because that's why we're here! We've dug into the depths of Kirby Star Allies to figure it all out for you. Read on for a complete list of compatible amiibo and exactly what they do. In Kirby's Blowout Blast, there is a special collection room where Kirby can obtain large statues of himself and his friends/rivals when the player scans a Kirby series amiibo (including their Super Smash Bros. series amiibo counterparts). This will also add more musical options to the hub, appropriate to the character scanned in. These additions are as follows based on the character scanned: Reflects Lucario being a Fighting-type Pokémon. It also possibly references Aura Sphere, which acts like Fighter Kirby's Force Blast.

Meta Knight has it tough even with the aid of a Spirit team. As usual, you should prioritize letting your FP inherit its Spirits at as early a level as possible. If your FP is already Level 50, that’s fine too — but you might want to just reset it and start from scratch. We do have an in-depth Spirits guide in case you’d find that helpful; if you’re already well-versed on them, then here are all of Meta Knight’s best builds:
