The following boudoir photoshoot tips are the most impactful things you can do to make your images better. By improving your appearance beforehand your photos will look better in camera before any editing takes place.

Christa not only gave me THE most amazing gift in portraits that I will treasure for the rest of my life, but she also gave me the gift of pushing myself well beyond my comfort zone. The shoot itself was a magical experience. I was giddy but also unsure of myself. By the end of the shoot I felt amazing inside and out because I had soaked up Christa’s smile, laughter, energy, creativity, beauty and confidence. I was blown away when I saw the resulting photos. My heart leaped. I couldn’t stop grinning and saying out loud “is that really me?” YES. That is me – those are my eyes, that is my smile and that is my spirit. Thank you Christa. When can we do it again? Believe in yourself. And by all means don’t lose your sense of humor. Laughing and being joyful is sexy at it’s best. Before we start shooting with a client we prepare her physically, mentally, and emotionally. This is important so that we can create the best images from her sessions. As a photographer, I will also work hard to make sure my clients feel comfortable in front of the camera. History of Nude PhotographyLater Mrs. P presented her boudoir photos to her husband. Although it was clear he really liked her images, she started to get the feeling like he wished there was more provocative photos from her set. I included this outtake shot in my selects because not only does she look gorgeous, but it triggers memories of a fun shoot (this was the moment after I had just teased her for gripping the couch for dear life) and shows Karen’s sense of humor about herself. Her playfulness is a key part of her personality.

Celeste is a powerhouse Producer with a super fun spirit. Her shoot was all about her spunky personality, those gorgeous curves, and her love of dancing, vintage clothes and shoes! When it came to doing, well, pretty much anything else the photographers had taught me to do, I failed. Abjectly. The monster that is laziness reared its ugly head, and I paid little attention to lighting, scenery, or getting in The Zone.I try to make my photos more about the curves of your body, your connection with the viewer and the pose. I love to do this in a way that drives the cave man brain nuts, while still keeping everything artful. Today we are presenting what we feel is one of the loveliest and truest forms of expression of the human body … a nude photo shoot. One thing we are certain of – if you decide to do it, it’s absolutely beautiful! Also getting nude doesn’t mean you have to show anything below the waist that you don’t want seen if you don’t want to … you can do implied nude which means that you are doing beautiful nude photos but not having the velvet volvo showing down below. Either way it’s your choice! which is ultimately what boudoir is about .. empowering you to make your own choices with your own body and show how beautifully powerful you are. To prepare for my professional photoshoot, I made a moodboard—something Mednik had suggested in our interview. We had a few planning consultations before the shoot and came up with a handful of hot, fun, daring and creative scenarios. Alison was super nervous before her shoot, but knew she wanted to go outside her comfort zone, so she committed fully.
