The Incredible Edible project is an urban gardening project which was started in 2008 by Pamela Warhurst, Mary Clear and a group of like minded people in Todmorden, West Yorkshire, UK. It offers step-by-step instructions, giving you the confidence to grow some unusually tasty crops; from the well-known turmeric and goji berry, to the more exotic cucamelon and strawberry spinach. By 2012, the Incredible Edible Network was formed to help manage and sustain existing groups as well as inspiring new ones. Being a keen allotment gardener I was really keen to get this, but when it arrived I was rather disappointed. In 1968 Kooky Kakes was introduced to bake small cakes and decorate them with arms, legs, and faces using Gobble-Degoop and cake mixes. Work at the moment involves preparing the beds for planting, sowing seeds and growing and harvesting them. The aim of the project is to educate students about growing fruit and vegetables and to increase their knowledge of food origin and quality.
