Description

The touchscreen is both responsive and reasonably intuitive to use; the camera itself is water resistant to a depth of 5m, while the Action Pod case is IPX4 water resistant; and it’s not heavy or bulky, either, with the Go 3 weighing a mere 35.5g and the Action Pod a further 96.3g. Usually when you buy a Windows laptop for this cheap, you’re going to be inundated with a load of useless bloatware that will fill your screen with pop-ups and ads – it’s simply be a headache to deal with, especially if you’re not super familiar with digging around the Windows 11 settings app. A magnetic design and accessories allow you to mount the GO 3 anywhere, providing you with a multitude of creative possibilities. Including but not limited to pets, helmets and fly-on-the-wall shots.

Insta360 Go 3 Action Camera (128GB)

The Go 3 now has 45 minutes of run time on its own or 173 minutes of run time when paired with the Action Pod Can the GO 3 record video? The real meat and potatoes of the Go 3 is its video capabilities. When the camera is set to Video mode, you'll see a readout on the bottom left-hand corner of the Action Pod LCD that shows what aspect ratio, resolution, frame rate, and stabilization level the Go 3 will record at. Tap this banner to head into the settings dashboard for these four items. (You can also swipe up from the bottom of the touchscreen to bring up this menu).

Insta360 GO 3 64GB Premium Kit

Devices that do not meet the above requirements may still be able to use the app to control the camera, however, performance of some processor-intensive and AI-powered features may be sub-optimal. For those familiar with Insta360's previous version of the Go camera, the big difference with the latest model is the introduction of the Action Pod. Part LCD monitor, part settings dashboard, part recharge station, I like that the Go 3 can record on its own without the housing, but if you're low on battery, you can slap the camera on the Action Pod for up to two hours of additional recording. And seeing as the Go 3 only sports a 320mAh battery, the Action Pod is pretty much a must-have for vlogging and any longer excursions. Despite its compact size, the Insta360 Go3 offers decent image quality for a camera this size. It can record videos up to 1440p at 50fps (up to 100Mbps bit rate) or 2.7K at 30fps (up to 50Mbps bitrate). The f/2.2 aperture ensures you capture bright and detailed imagery. However, its low-light performance does leave something to be desired. Footage taken in the dark is noisier than other more expensive and bulkier counterparts such as the GoPro, but the camera still manages to deliver decent results prior to sunset lighting condition. A magnetic design and accessories allow you to mount the GO 3 anywhere, providing you with a multitude of creative possibilities, including but not limited to pets, helmets and fly-on-the-wall shots.

Insta360 Go 3 review: The action camera with a split

The Insta360 Go 3 is an ingenious camera. It’s well made and easy to use, and the design is impressively versatile. Image quality is pretty good, too and it’s stuffed with clever shooting modes. Shoot with GO 3 in the Action Pod for perfectly framed selfies, flawless vlogging, or accurate handheld shooting. Speaking of which, the Go 3 features a 11.24mm f/2.2 camera (35mm equivalent) and is capable of shooting up to 2.7K video (at 24/25/30 frames per second) and photos in four resolutions including 2,560 x 1,440 (16:9) and 2,936 x 1,088 (2.7:1) as a DNG RAW. The camera can also shoot at 1440p and 1080p at 24/25/30/50 frames per second. Timelapses can be recorded to 1440p, but slow motion 120 frames per second video is restricted to 1080p. For FreeFrame videos, stabilization is applied during the export process (using the mobile app or Insta360’s computer program) and cannot be specified in the camera. Charging and Battery Life There are two elements to talk about when it comes to the Insta360 Go 3's design, the core camera and the Action Pod.The Surface Laptop Studio, for instance, lasts nearly twice as long as the Surface Go 3, and that laptop has a high-performance Tiger Lake H35 processor. There is simply no excuse for battery life this short. Period. Software and features Insta360 has designed the new Insta360 Go 3 to be the world's smallest action camera, weighing only an incredibly light 35g, making it easy to take it anywhere and capture anything. The GO 3 had been created to fit a number of accessories and mounting options including first-person POV videos. Designed with the new Action Pod system featuring a flip touchscreen which can control and charge the GO 3 Camera and features wireless image transmission. This Insta360 GO 3 also has a massive 64GB of storage available, allowing you to capture hours of footage. GO 3 can allow you to capture better footage during a variety of activities. Perfect for hands-free POV. The tiny size makes it easy to mount anywhere, your imagination is the limit.
