Last time they saw each other was just before Vince left Penny standing at the altar, so he's got some explaining to do. When Vince got cold feet and left Penny standing at the altar Penny got on with her life and tried to forget Vince once and for all. In 'Happy Birthday Penny', Penny decides to tell her parents that she's moving in with Vince as they celebrate her birthday.

The son of an MI6 agent, Nicholas had, like Vince, got quite far seemingly just on charm and cheek, with a resume that included musical theatre (lead roles in Hair, Jesus Christ Superstar and Grease), movie turns in Tommy and the bizarre flop Sgt Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band, and a string of novelty records starting with the David Bowie produced and written Over The Wall We Go and going on to such grim gems as Reggae Like It Used To Be. We also sell a wide range of refurbished Mobile Phones and Tech from major brands like Apple, Samsung, Sony, Microsoft and much more. When Vince got cold feet and left Penny standing at the altar, Penny got on with her life and tried to forget Vince. Nicholas’ Vince has a touch of the Del Boy about him, Sullivan not always making it clear if he is the cad he often appears, which has the effect of making him a curiously unsympathetic leading man.

Half the time you aren't even aware a joke is being set up, something Sullivan is particularly good at. Five years, and a chance meeting later, Penny's feelings are rekindled, feelings that she thought were gone forever. In 'I Don't Want to See You Again', Vince asks Penny to move in with him - but how will they break it to her parents?

Insisting that they would remain 'just good friends' but with emotions resurfacing a classic love-hate on-off relationship is (once . Rather than take umbrage, he set about creating Penny as a fully-rounded character, not merely a victim or someone there simply to service the jokes. Just as funny now even though I remember what was going to happen as the series is just unforgettable. If you are in Australia or New Zealand (DVD Region 4), note that almost all DVDs distributed in the UK by the BBC and 2entertain are encoded for both Region 2 and Region 4. Paul Nicholas and Jan Francis are outstanding in their roles as Vince - the cockney unreliable Jack-the-lad with a witty one-liner for every occasion - and Penny - the posh prim and proper lady. The set-up is simple: charming Jack-the-lad turf accountant wanders back into the life of advertising secretary Penny Warrender, having jilted her at the altar five years previously. To calculate the overall star rating and percentage breakdown by star, we don’t use a simple average.

Certain items can take longer to source than the estimated week, particularly during busy trading periods and may take longer to arrive at our warehouse. When you watch it now, you can see and observe Penny's mother portrayed as the narcissist she is—wonderfully played by the late Sylvia Kay.
