Due to the additional care and attention, the SRPG33 does look like the most expensive out of these three, as it should do, considering it’s double the cost of the older alternatives. These special editions both include sapphire crystals, a decorated case back, and clearly the outstanding dials. A watch that is still in my collection and one of my most prized possessions although not the most valuable in terms of money.

We know that it is a 20 jewel Seagull movement from China and we also know that it’s pretty darn reliable. The casework on the Timex suffers just a touch at the lower edges and this is where the reinvigorated brand still has some work to do if they wish to take on the king of cheap and cheerful.The sides, on the other hand, are polished, which creates a nice contrast, and gives the watch a greater perception of quality and being well-finished.

Most of the dials in the Cocktail Time collection have the explosive radial pattern that is featured on the SARB065, which is an absolute pleasure to see. I’d normally question something like this on a watch with such a utilitarian-looking movement, but I think it actually helps indoctrinate a lot of folks who are new to mechanical pieces. This can save you a ton of money you’d normally spend on watch batteries, which usually end up in landfills. Due to the thicker and longer markers, the older SNZG is hands-down the clearest out of the bunch, while the other two are battling for second place.Those fitted to the SNZG and SRPG are much more standard, with the smaller SRPG surprisingly being larger. For context, the SNK fits me the best, followed by the SRPG, which I can just about get away with, though it is a little floaty for reasons I shall mention later.
