We also didn’t include any units that were exclusive to a particular territory, for example, the recent DDJ-REV1-N, which was only available in the US and Asia. It’s also worth noting that some products were generally released in multiple colors, and so weren’t strictly considered to be limited editions. Boasting the most comprehensive effects available in a 2-channel unit and astonishing sound quality. I won't be changing this mixer in the near future. If I do then it will be for another Pioneer....I'm converted and I'm sure you will be too.

Pioneer DJM400 2-Channel DJ MixerThe DJM-400; Pioneer's newest entry-level mixer with an all-digital mixing bus (24bit/96kHz) featuring 7 onboard effects, including the all new In-Loop Sampler! Drawing on our digital heritage of larger mixers, the DJM-400 is designed as an ideal partner for the CDJ-200 in terms of style and function. When combined, these units create a portable yet powerful and robust DJ setup.

£30.00 per day*

The DJM-400 matches Pioneer's CDJ-200 CD turntable in both function and design, allowing DJs to expand the range of DJing and remixing. Its new symmetrical design is the same size as a CDJ-200 enabling an easy fit in a compact DJ coffin. Although the DJM-400 is the smallest mixer in our Pioneer range, it is perfectly portable and huge in performance, boasting outstanding audio quality. Main disadvantage: noise. I connect them to my monitoring speakers. I use them with Ableton and I get a lot of noise... When mixing, the noise is not audible. Step up to professional DJ mixing. The Pioneer name is widely recognized as the gold-standard in modern DJ performance, and with the new Pioneer DJM-400 2-Channel DJ Mixer anyone who's serious about their craft can experience the quality and professional features that the Pioneer name represents. Not only is the DJM-400 a premium 2-channel DJ mixer, but it sports a 96kHz loop sampler for live remixing and an awesome suite of digital effects to enhance any set. Comes ith effects and sampler basically. The effects can all be timed to the beat, which the mixer will pretty much do automatically for you. The sampler quality from vinyl is excellent so I'm assuming that from CD will be even better. There are only about 6 effects (I think!) but they'll provide no end of fun creativity. The only thing that I wich was there was the option to add effects to samples or to apply DIFFERENT individual effects to both records at the same time.....I'm assuming that these options are probably on the more expensive Pioneer mixers maybe... The only other thing that takes time to get used to is the headphone cue buttons. Most of us are probably used to having a knob to turn which will slowly switch between both channels in the headphones. You can alter the amount of volume for each song going through the headphones by just altering the amount you move the knob....Not so with the DJM 400. It uses an individual button control method. You can press the CH1 button for Channel 1 and/or the Ch2 button for Channel 2. The only way you can change the volume is by altering the gain for that channel. … read more However, this may not be desirable as you may have already set the volume suitable for when you want to bring the next song in. Don't despair though.....this is a small issue and you will get used to it in time. It's just a different way of doing things...

Onboard effects automatically detect the beats per minute of the music and sync to the beats. The DJM-400 includes seven onboard effects: Delay, Echo, Filter, Flanger,Phaser, Robot and Roll. All effects are processed at 24bits for the highest quality sound. A new Beat Select button allows more intuitive and aggressive DJ playing and remixing. I didn't deal with Pioneer direct as I imagine most of you wouldn't do anyway if you were buying this mixer (probably get it from an online shop or other DJ shops). But I bought mine from Hard To Find Records.....seem fine to me. Fast-forward to the present day, though, and these special editions have, as you’ll see below, since become an integral part of the Pioneer DJ story. They have spanned the product range, introduced new styles, and, in a couple of special cases, even included redesigns. The impetus to release the special editions has certainly been fuelled by the interest you’ve shown in them over the years. Bringing a collection in one place therefore felt like a satisfying process of reflection and celebration. The sound output is very good. Clear and sharp. I've got 2 Vestax PDX 2000 turntables connected to it and the sample quality is perfect. All Pioneer DJ equipment repairs can be done in house by our own technicians. Including Pioneer DJ Firmware updates. Meta Platforms Ireland Ltd. is a subsidiary of Meta Platforms, Inc. based in the USA. It cannot be ruled out that your data collected by Facebook will also be transmitted to the USA.

It's one of the easiest mixers I've ever used. The effects / sampling interface is a doddle...once you get the hang of it of course! The crossfader is very good - very smooth when crossing channels. All volume / component knobs (treb, bass etc) are solid and feel accurately repsonsive (the rate of change of volume / component is accurately in line with the amount the knob is moved - I've had mixers in the past that didn't respond very accurately to the amount the knobs were turned!). Connections on the rear of the mixer are pretty much standard for a 2 channel, easy to understand and set up with 2 tunrtables or CD mixers. The maunal that comes with it is quite good as well, which is quite refreshing! It describes all the types of sounds you can make with the effects. To be honest though, you'll probably learn more by just messing around and experimenting. Each channel has 3-band isolator EQ with full cut capability. The EQ ranges from +9dB to infinity for total control of the sound. Easily understandable manual, perhaps a bit complex when it comes to effects, especially for beginners... But the unit is very intuitive to use. Good value for money. It's the price to pay for professional equipment. If it's too expensive for you, buy a Gemini, Numark or Behringer but you might have an ugly surprise... It would be almost ten years before Pioneer DJ returned to the limited editions game, with the first of its complete setup bundles—two CDJs and a mixer in a reimagined color scheme, housed in an exclusive flight case. The DJM-400 is tailored to the demands of DJs mixing in bars and smaller clubs and those mobile artists who demand a reliable, robust and high-quality mixer. Samples are automatically stretched and compressed to match the beat. The DJM-400 will store five samples onboard for a total of 12 seconds of sample time.
