With some re-jigging they could have then fitted the 1992 Remix of Simple Minds' Love Song instead of the 1981 original that's included here. Talking of acts who were big in the 1980s, one disappointment with NOW Yearbook ’92 is that it doesn’t include any of the singles issued in from INXS’s Welcome to Wherever You Are, arguably their best album and a record that was a real highlight of 1992 for this author, although presumably that’s down to the usual pesky licensing restrictions. This album definitely brings back the memories of hearing them on the radio before or after a school day. Some big hitters from across the Atlantic make a showing on the second CD including an E-Street Band-free Bruce Springsteen (‘Human Touch’), Bon Jovi (‘Keep The Faith’), and ZZ Top (‘Viva Las Vegas’).

Unfortunately my copy arrived with the plastic seal ripped and the corners of the cardboard CD case scuffed and crushed. NOW Music is proud to present the next instalment in our ongoing ‘Yearbook’ series – and our first to celebrate the ‘90s, NOW – Yearbook 1992; 79 tracks from a brilliant year in Pop! Bring back memories just picture it hearing on the radio some of these, classics forgotten selection of creditable, recognised artists, groups, good to listen once more. is the year that Simply Red’s Stars outsold every other album in the UK for the second year running and the touching ‘For Your Babies’ is included from that long-player along with the live version of ‘Lady Godiva’s Room’ (an excellent B-side from 1987), one of four tracks included on ‘The Montreux EP’.

saw different genres of Dance music find Chart success - Felix’s ‘Don't You Want Me’, Urban Hype’s ‘A Trip To Trumpton’, and Doctor Spin’s ‘Tetris’ were all Pop-Trance hits. That was one of only 13 chart-toppers in Britain in 1992 and a creditable nine are included in Yearbook ’92.

saw Bruce Springsteen release two new albums, ‘Human Touch’ and ‘Lucky Town’ on the same day, and the title track from the former kicks off Disc 2 – followed by massive Rock hits from Bon Jovi, Iron Maiden and ZZ Top’s cover of ‘Viva Las Vegas’. Read more about the condition New: An item that is still in its original shrink wrap from the manufacturer and the original manufacturer’s seal (if applicable) has not been removed. This special edition CD is housed in ‘hard-back-book’ packaging, including a 28-page booklet featuring a summary of the year, a track-by-track guide, a quiz, and original singles artwork. NOW Music is proud to present 60 more essential gems from the incredible year in Pop that was 1992 with NOW – Yearbook Extra 1992. With the benefit of hindsight we can see that 1992 is a great big pop intersection where 80s pop stars are wondering what they need do to stay relevant, new pop/rock acts are establishing themselves and the dance scene is still thriving. This edition does not fail to satisfy with it's track listing, some memorable tracks from the early 90's.

There’s a bit of a ‘Noah’s Ark’ thing going on with two tracks from Annie Lennox (‘Precious’, ‘Cold’), a couple from Crowded House (‘It’s Only Natural, Four Seasons in One Day’), a pair from Kylie Minogue (‘Finer Feelings’ and ‘What Kind of Fool? Licensing issues can work for you occasionally, presuming that’s what has prevented Red Said Fred’s ‘Deeply Dippy’ being included on this compilation. The usual formats apply: 4CD deluxe version in hardcover book with track annotations and quiz, 3LP coloured (green) vinyl and the cheaper 4CD in card sleeve. Big power ballads from Shakespear’s Sister, Wet Wet Wet, Vanessa Williams, Annie Lennox and of course Whitney Houston are hands-down the sound of that year and are just one big nostalgia-fest if this is your era.

NOW Music is proud to present the next instalment in our ongoing ‘Yearbook’ series – and our first to celebrate the ‘90s, NOW – Yearbook 1992; 43 tracks from a brilliant year in Pop! and Crowded House follow, together with the Gary Barlow-written ‘A Million Love Songs’ from Take That and Kylie Minogue’s ‘Finer Feelings’ remixed for single release by Brothers In Rhythm. s celebratory ‘Megamix’, and the album rounds of with Darlene Love’s ‘All Alone On Christmas’, taken from the Home Alone 2 Soundtrack. To calculate the overall star rating and percentage breakdown by star, we don’t use a simple average. This is another great compilation from Now Yearbook but all the Special Edition covers seem to be damaged.

Alternative' Pop from Manic Street Preachers, Simple Minds, Paul Weller and Tears For Fears complete side one - whilst the flip side salutes the dancefloor: Dance-Pop filled the charts in 1992, and this side explodes into action with worldwide hits 'Rhythm Is A Dancer' from SNAP!All image and audio content is used by permission of the copyright holders or their agents, and/or according to fair dealing as per the UK Copyright, Designs and Patents Act 1988. Crowded House have their second appearance on this album with ‘Four Seasons In One Day’ and the disc comes to a close with two beautiful ballads from Belinda Carlisle and Gloria Estefan. Floor-fillers from CeCe Peniston, Dina Carroll, Shanice and En Vogue follow, before ‘My Destiny’ from Lionel Richie completes the disc.
