The romance: There’s not much room for romance here mainly because Grace wasn’t really uk/landing-page/orion/orion-company-information/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">The Orion Publishing Group Limited.

And seeing as each block of land is representative of the nation itself, tensions are always high around the embassy blocks. While I can foresee one appearing in the future instalments, this book was purely character and plot driven. And now she’s plagued with a bunch of memories that she’d much rather forget and a desire to bring justice to her mother, to defend her honour, to unearth her killer—the Scarred Man. A heartbreaking account of one of the most terrifying events in history – the outbreak of the Black Death in 1349.I highly recommend this read with a good ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ out of ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ and cant wait to see what happens in book 10. Moreover, it explores the difficult choices that young adults are faced with as they start to realise their own identities.

Early in the thirteenth century, Elinor's parents attempt to marry her off to an elderly nobleman but she escapes disguised as a boy, with a troupe of travelling entertainers. Families like Isabel’s went from a world were land was expensive and labour cheap to one where land was in abundant supply and labour hard to come by. All Fall Down has everything I love and expect from a good crime fiction novel: fast pace, full of action and suspense, a brilliant police procedures and well crafted characters. However, this is one case where the killer seems to always be one step ahead of the police and the victims.

There are times I found myself slack jawed, mainly with disbelief at their stupidity to be honest, and others where I was on the edge of my seat. We knew nothing about her and when Grace did meet her outside the nightclub Arlidge got Polly’s surname wrong.

I felt really bad for her in this situation because even the best cops can’t see rat even in the heavy embrace of passion, it gets in the way, but once a cop, always a cop, she will route it out.If you want to know if that is the case and she looks set to get a happy-ish ending, you’ll need to read for yourself but I am guessing from the parting chapter, her story is far from over yet. Not Alexei, the Russian boy next door, who is keeping his eye on Grace for reasons she neither likes nor understands. The series is set in Southampton just down the road from me, which I enjoy as I can actually picture some of the places mentioned. It is a book that keeps the chills coming, the pages turning and the attention focused on just what will happen next and how far the characters will go to get what they want.
