The manual’s use of bullet points, rather than 1-2-3 steps, makes this harder to follow than it needs to be, as the control panel prompts you for the next step.

The important part here is the E6 makes milk foam and only foam, this does mean the range of coffee drinks available is limited to foam based drinks. So if you like things like a flat white then you need to upgrade to something like the Jura E8. When you first turn on the machine, you’ll be greeted by your favorite drinks. You program these yourself by saving your favorite coffee settings to make sure you have exactly what you want when you want it. The Jura E6 is an excellent bean-to-cup coffee machine. It’s not cheap, but the espresso is rich, flavoursome and has a beautiful crema. The cappuccino, while not completely automated, is easy to make and has a wonderful texture. Strictly speaking no it cannot make a Latte. This is because it does not produce hot milk, it only makes foam. But if it is only occasionally then you can warm milk separately to make a Latte, it would just be a fuss to have to do it daily. Delonghi or Jura? The benefit to you? Better ground coffee in half the time, your morning hit just got a whole lot easier. The machine offers everything that you’re a coffee lover looking for in an automatic coffee machine, including 11 drinks and automatic cleaning systems (yahoo!). When you consider all the facts and compare what you actually get in comparison to other coffee machines, such as the pulse extraction process and the I.P.B.A.S. Then yes Jura is worth the money. When you’re ready to make drinks, choose from one of the options on the machine’s display screen: espresso, coffee, Americano, cappuccino, macchiato, or Caffè Barista. The machine then grinds a serving of beans and pulls the coffee using a high-performance 15-bar pump. Water is pumped through the grounds in bursts using Jura’s Pulse Extraction Process (PEP), which yields rich, full-flavored results to rival a barista’s creations. Finally, the brewing process is enhanced by the system’s CLEARYL water filters. This helps make sure you’ve got high-quality water pumping through your beans.

What are the differences between them though? Only the E8 provides the option of using pre-ground coffee. The E8 also has a bigger bean hopper. Most importantly, the E8’s cappuccino system is fully automated, rather than the semi-automated function included with the E6. Verdict You cannot use ground coffee in the E6, there is no bypass chute. This is one of the main things buyers complain of. Can Jura E6 make Latte? It also features Intelligent Water System (I.W.S.) which automatically detects filter presence and automatically warns you if the filter capacity has been exhausted and you need to change it. If you’re looking to buy a super-automatic coffee machine, then the Jura E6 coffee machine is definitely a great choice. They’ve got excellent technology that lets you craft just about any beverage your heart desires. Despite the high price tag, the quality you get makes it well worth the cost.

Check out Jura E6!

Both models include the Pulse Extraction Process, CLARIS water filter and TFT display. They also both have an automatic frothing system and the same size water tank. The Jura E6 coffee maker has a 2-year manufacturer’s warranty. They’ll get you hooked up with the repairs and replacement parts you need! Jura E6 Pros & Cons Essentially a much ( much) nicer version of a capsule coffee machine, the E6 puts out espresso shots, coffee, americanos, and milk drinks like cappuccinos and macchiatos. But, unlike other espresso machines, it does all of this with the touch of a button: Place your cup under the spout, press cappuccino, listen to the machine grind a perfect serving of beans, and watch a frothy cappuccino appear in the cup. It’s that easy, and the results actually taste like coffee shop drinks (not water single-serve espressos).

The machine also warns you when the filter is nearing the end of its life. It’s important to replace the filter, as this keeps the machine free from limescale and reduces impurities in the water. Other Features A downside is that there isn’t an option to use ground coffee. Freshly ground beans always provide the best flavour, but it can be useful to have a ground coffee bypass for making decaf. The E6 produces aromatic espresso with a balanced taste. The pulse extraction system really does make a difference to the flavour and depth, and we’re impressed at how consistent the E6 is at producing quality coffee. It also has a rich crema, which is often missing from cheaper bean-to-cup coffee machines. The good news is that the E6 has a few special features that make it more durable and easier to maintain than other machines on the market. You can adjust the Aroma G3 grinder, too. The grinder allows up to 3 levels of grinding for advanced flavor customization. Fine Foam TechnologyThe machine doesn’t let you use pre-ground coffee to make the drinks. Although the idea behind this is so that you get a much fresher cup of coffee, the reality is that whole bean coffee also tends to be a bit pricier. On the flip side, if you’re looking for a budget option or don’t drink milk-based coffee much, this probably isn’t the choice for you. In that case, you might be better off looking into a less high-tech machine. Final Verdict The E6 will tell you on screen, either through messages or icon lights, whether you need to refill the water tank, empty the coffee grounds or the drip tray, refill the bean container, or whether you need to replace the filter, clean or descale the machine, or rinse or clean the milk system. Smart features Where the Jura E6 really stands out, however, is with its Pulse Extraction Process, P.E.P.. This is a cyclical process that ensures that the ideal extraction time is applied for each type of coffee. When you pair that with the interchangeable milk outlet, you get easy-to-use milk-steaming tools. The result is truly great beverages.

It’s not perfect though. We wish the milk was hotter, as this is one of our biggest complaints. There’s also no option to use pre-ground coffee, which is a problem if you want to use it for decaf coffee. Speaking of taking up any spot in the home, you’ll be pleased to know that the Jura machine isn’t too large. The E6 comes with programmes for rinsing and cleaning. It rinses whenever you switch it on, which keeps it clean, but means there is a 30-40 second delay before it’s ready to brew. There’s also a descaling programme, automatic milk rinser and adjustable water hardness setting. Jura has a few key features that make their machines stand out. And, the Jura E6 doesn’t leave much out of the picture! It has a water tank capacity of 63 ounces, which is pretty good for an at-home coffee machine. And, the machine itself measures 17 x 11 x 13 inches. Or, you can make two drinks at the same time. That’s ideal for couples or times when you’re entertaining friends! Maintenance So how does the E6 work? First, during setup, you test the hardness of your tap’s water and tell the machine. Then, add the included smart water filter (really) to the tank, which automatically filters a serving of water for each pull. Next, add whole beans to the built-in hopper (you can also use coffee grounds, but obviously whole beans are preferred).
