Famous fashion designer Verena Valentine wants nothing more than to avoid Adrian Hunter for the rest of her life. But there’s no escaping her childhood best friend turned enemy at her sister’s week-long tropical destination wedding. The only thing worse than being trapped with the infuriatingly handsome yet arrogant Adrian is discovering Verena’s ex is attending the wedding with the model he left her for. Fake Dating Zac Delavin is a modern masterpiece, a powerful novel that can be read on its own. This novel is written by Skyla Summers. She is a true storyteller, and Fake Dating Zac Delavin is her best book. It is an epic tale of family, secrets, loss, marriage, betrayal, friendships, laughter, and regrets. Fake Dating Zac Delavin is a heartfelt novel written with compassion and hope, reconciling the past to pave a road to happiness and second chances. The characters in this novel bring life and heart to this story, each with a distinct voice and personality. They made readers love them, they made readers sad, they made readers angry, they made readers laugh, they made readers cry, and they made readers believe in the promise of love and home. If you can stomach a plot that could easily have been avoided with communication skills, you’ll find a pleasant steamy enemies to lovers story inside. Jake - A but farfetched for Verena's ex-boyfriend to be at this wedding. He just happens to he dating a friend of her future SIL that lives in Alaska when he lives in NY? I don't buy it. I received an ARC of this book at no cost and am voluntarily leaving a review. This book was one of my favorite reads the author really has a beautiful way to draw the audience in. This had the best grumpy meets sunshine story,

(This one is the second in the series) Fake Dating Adrien Hunter was an entertaining read :) Skyla Summers added an interesting little twist to the conventional fake dating trope. I'll quote a passage of the book that sums it up pretty well "There’s some serious next-level scheming and double-crossing going down". s͢o͢ I͢ a͢m͢ g͢o͢i͢n͢g͢ t͢o͢ b͢r͢i͢n͢g͢ m͢y͢ a͢l͢l͢ a͢n͢d͢ s͢l͢a͢y͢. Overall the book was cute and had good spice scenes.I thoroughly enjoyed this book! Zac and Mina’s chemistry and witty banter make you just dive into the book completely. Mina’s sunshine mixed with Zac’s grumpiness just makes everything is a chef’s kiss🤌🏽 It’s a perfect book for lovers of the grumpy/sunshine trope, which is my personal favorite. Is it too early to say I’m inlove with this book? Well I’m saying it anyway. I love the characters in this book, Zac is such an ideal boyfriend like where can I find him, like I need him in my life seriously❤️‍🔥. Mina is such a bubbly character. I love her character too, these couple compliment each other so well. They found the love they need and deserve in each other💝. The writer did so great in this book, I love her writing style, it is such a easy read. I applaud skyla summers as this is only her second book out and she did such a good job in this book and in her first book👏💘. The chemistry between characters was there, this is such a fun, light, flirty romance book. I would totally recommend it🫶. these two have some super cute moments and hella hot ones too. There is obviously chemistry there from the start. I just felt the way it was written it seemed like it all happened over a week or two. Absolutely hated both main characters. Adrian was a whiny 3 year old and Verena was so mean and disrespectful to her family, especially her sister Tori. I mean, it’s Tori’s wedding and she has specifically asked you not to steal the spotlight and Verena does exactly that like 10 times in a week. I love Tori an Phoebe but they definitely deserved better. Accordingly, To All the Boys contains scene after scene of Lara Jean and Peter sharing their deepest hopes and dreams and desires with one another, and then reminding each other that their relationship is, of course, fake. “I could write you notes,” Peter says, gazing adoringly at Lara Jean, before he tells her that he’s only doing it to make his ex jealous. Lara Jean explains that she has issues with intimacy because of the death of her mother, before brightly pointing out that she doesn’t have to worry about that with Peter because “we’re just pretending.”

Fake Dating Zac Delavin: A Steamy Grumpy/Sunshine Romance

Coviluted yet predictable storyline - Faking dating someone to make the guy you're fake dating jealous. Okay I haven't read that before but it was kind of sloppy. With any trope so old and so well-known, the temptation to wink at it and subvert it is always present. But To All the Boys leaned into its fake dating premise with utter and relentless sincerity. In doing so, it created a kind of road map for how to get the most out of old romantic tropes without sliding into the trap of easy cynicism. To All the Boys I’ve Loved Before knows exactly what makes fake dating an appealing tropeFake dating is the have-your-cake-and-eat-it-too of romantic tropes. It grants audiences all the satisfaction of seeing the central couple in an established, domestic relationship, but it doesn’t deflate the will they/won’t they tension because you are always waiting for the two fake lovers to realize that they’re actually really in love. It’s a trope that lends itself equally well to both fluff and angst. if zac wasn’t going through a divorce & it was just a breakup, rather than having crazy stalker connor and instead just having a miscommunication arc, i would have loved this book sm more. it literally could have just been zac & hannah but jus w escalation towards more misunderstandings and jealousy 🧍‍♂️ This book was A TOTAL MESS!! Most of the characters were insufferable at the best of times, not all characters were fully developed (in my mind) and the story line was mediocre-with an attempt of enemies to lovers really just being a result of miscommunication from 7 years ago and grudges still being held. I cringed so bad while reading any detail about the gang stuff. Like, I guess it's a good idea but if you're gonna write it, write it properly.
