Each character in the game now has its solo card. This has some unique behaviour that will mean each opponent will act slightly differently. You also get a brand new set of basic AI cards as well. Whereas the cards found in the base game were all about delivering cargo for fame, these new ones are all about bounties. This modifies the behaviour of the AI opponent drastically and gives the solo game a completely different feel to it.These stories will expand the universe of Twilight Imperium in exciting and unexpected ways, and they are written and drawn by some of the biggest names in comics, including Ron Marz ( Silver Surfer, Witchblade), Andy Lanning ( Guardians of the Galaxy, Annihilation), Dan Abnett ( Gaunt’s Ghosts, Horus Heresy), and more. Of course, we’re working closely with the folks at CMON to ensure that everything in these stories will perfectly fit within the Twilight Imperium canon. Traveling across the Core can save you a lot of time, but it also comes with some risk. The Core Worlds are under the control of the Empire, and if you have negative reputation with the Imperials, then you can expect some difficulty when flying across the Core. Familiar Faces Six new ships are added to the game including the Jumpmaster 5000 which can be upgraded to Dengar’s Punishing One, a Rogue class Porax-38 starfighter which can upgrade to Cad Bane’s Xanadu Blood, and a VCX-100 light freighter which upgrades to the Ghost from Star Wars: Rebels. I never really found myself trading and negotiating that much when I played. There is very little incentive to help your opponents as you’re basically helping them beat you. I’m happy they are here though as it does give you that extra option to help get out of a tight spot you find yourself in.

While Outer Rim generally attracted praise for its gameplay and use of the Star Wars universe, criticism typically concerned the limited number of events and cards in the base set - leading to calls for an expansion to add replayability and variety shortly after release. Encounter Step – The active player resolves a single encounter, usually by drawing an encounter card corresponding to their space. The expansion also adds some fantastic new features that shake up how Star Wars: Outer Rim is played. With the new favors system, you’ll have even more opportunities to negotiate with your opponents. Play your cards right, and you may put other players in your debt, allowing you to call on them in a moment of need to give yourself a boost. If you and your fellow players want to change up how you win the game, you can utilize ambitions.Zatu has an excellent range of games and for most of them the best prices too. Delivery is always fast and I have never received a game in bad condition. 10/10 would recommend. Encounter Step – If you don’t encounter anyone willingly, such as trying to secure a bounty, or you haven’t run into an organization along the space road that would fight your ship, then you must do another encounter via a Navpoints card. This card proposes a situation, and you must conquer said situation or pay the price. You will never end this three-step process without an encounter, so don’t try to weasel your way out.
