Description

It’ll need a decent bit of force and probably a few throws of the weight to get it to split but what you lose in cut time, you more than make up for in adjustment time for different height logs. A few strikes and you’ve split a decent size log: g. to reject or ignore bids from the defaulting buyer at future auctions or to impose conditions before any such bids are accepted; I prefer the vertical position and despite advertising this as a 30cm diameter cut, it’ll smash that to pieces and take much more. I will say though, the height of the pedal isn’t ideal for anyone with bad knees. Naturally the machine attempts to take advantage of a big sweeping lunge for maximum pressure which makes sense, except you need to get your knee up high enough to do so. If you have grief with the knees as I do sometimes then turning it horizontal and working the ams is probably a fair option and solution. This heavy-duty log splitter can cut through almost any log length in no time with a phenomenal ten tons of cutting power. You can adjust the performance and splitting force to save energy when necessary. There’s also a powerful Duocut heavy duty blade to help split the log at both ends, allowing for faster results. You’ll never want to return to manual splitting after trying an electric hydraulic splitter like this. I’ll admit it, I’m not the best at explaining how things work so I’m adding a video to this section so you can get a better understanding. Anyway, these manual splitters are great for several reasons. One, you don’t have to swing a sharp edge so it’s relatively safe. Two, it doesn’t require gas or electric so you can use it wherever, whenever. And three, there are very few moving parts so the chances of having a slide-hammer log splitter break on you are slim.

The blade isn’t as sharp as the blades on some of the other wood splitters that I tested, but, according to the company, this is an intended feature – due to how the wood splitter is designed, a sharp and potentially dangerous blade isn’t needed. The Auctioneers shall not be liable for any expense, loss, claim or proceedings in respect of personal injury to or death of any person arising out of or in the course of or caused by the sale, except to the extent that the same is due to the negligence of the auctioneers.

You can use these just about anywhere, so long as you have room to store it and gas to run it. Many of these devices can produce 7-tons to 25-tons of force and more, making them a great option for splitting almost any kind of wood. I would be oversimplifying things by saying they’re lever operated but that’s typically how you extend the arm which pushes the log into the wedge. f. Lots not forward will be charged at 75% commission based on the reserve price or Auctioneer’s estimate. Hammer Price” Means the level of bidding reached (at or above any reserve) when the auctioneer brings the bidding to a close; d. Commission at the rate specified in clause 20 above together with the Entry Fees as specified in clause 21 below, shall be payable by the vendor on all lots sold at the Word of warning, given the way this is setup. You’ll find an 8-9 inch log minimum is best If you go shorter, the log may not push through the splitter deep enough to split the log as the stammer stops short. This is no problem at all if you have 8 inch and up logs. Just worth a mention if they are really short, in which case they probably don’t need much splitting anyway!

Auctioneer” Means Clarke and Simpson Auctions Ltd auctioneer or i-Bidder/ Bid Spotter as appropriate; A pole splitter is a bit like an axe-head fixed on a vertical pole. It takes a couple of minutes to set up, but once fixed, you simply slide the blade up and down the pole. It offers more accuracy for the inexperienced woodcutter, but sometimes you still have to put your hand in the path of the blade. There are several different components, which some people find overly complicated. All auctions are conducted at the absolute discretion of the auctioneer. The auctioneer shall conduct the auction with reasonable skill and care. The vendor reserves the right to sell subject to reserve price in respect of all lots. What constitutes a bid shall be at the absolute discretion of the auctioneer, acting with appropriate skill and care. The auctioneer shall have the right to refuse any bid in all cases but most notably when such a bid does not exceed the previous bid by at least 10% or such a proportion as the auctioneer shall in his absolute discretion direct. Where two or more bids at the same level are simultaneously received by the auctioneer, the auctioneer at his absolute discretion shall determine which bid to prefer. Subject to the foregoing where two or more bids are at the same level are simultaneously received by the auctioneer, any bid submitted in the room shall take preference over a bid submitted by telephone or internet at the same level. Any bid made or attempted by telephone or over the internet will only be deemed to have been made if received by the auctioneer. The auctioneer has the right at his absolute discretion to refuse admission to his premises or attendance at (or participation in) any auction by any person. In the case of any dispute, the auctioneer shall be sole arbitrator in any matters arising during or out of the sale. Holes: For added stability in use, it’s nice if the base has pre-drilled holes to allow the kindling splitter to be bolted down. The best log splitter UK customers can buy is often a valuable investment. If you work in a garden frequently, chopping through large amounts of wood, splitting logs can be exhausting. The right log splitter takes a lot of the work off your shoulders, so you can get more done each day.

The attention of buyers of agricultural tractors and machinery is drawn to the provision of the Health & Safety at Work Act 1974, the Agricultural (Field Machinery) Regulations 1962, Agricultural (Tractor Cabs) Regulations 1974 and all other acts and regulations applicable to farm safety. Buyers are reminded of the provisions of the above Acts regarding the safety guarding of machinery and implements, and that some of the machinery sold at the Auction Centre may not immediately comply with the regulations issued thereunder. It is an offence to use any machinery which does not comply with the regulations laid down in the Acts and Regulations and accordingly, it is a condition of the contract of sale relating to such machines and implements that any buyer shall satisfy himself as to any statutory requirement for the use of any item and no liability shall rest with the vendors nor the auctioneers. Vendors are required to take sufficient steps to ensure that the lots entered are safe and without risk to health at all times when being set, used, cleaned or maintained by a person at work and in observation of proper health and safety procedures and so far as is reasonably practical, the vendor has carried out or arranged to be carried out, of suitable testing and examination to ensure that there will be no risk to safety (taking into account the age and condition of the lots). The vendor also undertakes to provide the buyer all operators’ handbooks and instruction manuals. If required to do so and if possible, the vendor further undertakes to provide the buyer with an explanation about the use for which the lot is designed and about any issues necessary to ensure it will be Although it is designed for use with the Titan Pro range of log splitters, it also fits a number of other generic log splitters on the market. If you would like to know anything further regarding measurements, please do not hesitate to get in touch. Tell your friends and family about my idea so we can help prevent them from chopping their fingers off with an axe. Blade: The blade doesn’t have to be razor-sharp to be effective because the applied force splits the wood grain quite easily. More advanced blades are contoured to split the log into numerous pieces of kindling with one blow. Most blades are cast as part of the structure. We have also seen removable blades made from a mixture of steel and titanium. These are very hard and take a good edge, which helps if you have particularly dense wood to split. Normally, that’s not an issue, and the fixed-blade type is more than adequate.
