The citrus notes are quite refreshing and the woody notes aren’t offensive or heavy to the nose, even smelling against the skin. As the fragrance enters its dry-down, the initial citrus notes start to dissipate; the patchouli adds a soft green and sharp tone. take Creed's Aventus, use lemony notes instead of smokey pineapple, and woody/nutty notes instead of a leathery birch note, and you pretty much have L'Aventure; a fresher take on the famed Aventus DNA, minus the spicy notes that some dupes have. It's hard to argue that, once into the drydown, L'Aventure Intense isn't a very good smelling scent. Hope Al-Haramain doesn't/stops reformulating their fragrances, because I experienced some differences between batches, especially with L'Adventure Blanche (the Silver Mountain Water clone). I treat it as a beater frag and use it for any less formal occasions, also in the winter and it works. In my opinion, it is much closer to MODERN batches of aventus than CDNIM, but pre-2016 batches are a totally different story. The smokiness is a bit too synthetic, so that the initial euphoria to have found a cheap clone of the bestseller we all know disappears quite quickly. I see how L'Aventure could be the more reliable blend if you look for something for formal settings.I liked the original laventure but thought it lacked the fresh pineapple goodness that aventus is known for. At first it smells floral, I couldn't pin point the other note though, but looking at the notes it is DEFINTELY the elemi note. Although maybe even more dissimilar the Armaf CDNIM to me smells more pleasing and the smokiness of that one is more appetizing than this sweet mess. Before I now evaluate the fragrance, I would like to add before that Creed Aventus is one of my absolute favorite fragrances and the house Creed my favorite manufacturer!

I would say L’Aventure has a bit more character and a slightly different note finish that on my skin smells warmer. So let's state that this scent will please a passing person in a fleeting way, just as the expensive original almost everyone knows how to please and that independent of the fact that the scent that can be bought in the three-digit Eurone range also appeals to me, but does not tear me from my stool. This is not a close clone but rather a fragrance that will remind you of Aventus and good to be on its own.I can't smell it at all after a few minutes, but did get some complaints in the office that it is too strong after only three sprays. Once that settles down, you get into a very smooth base of woods and musks that remind me strongly of my earliest Aventus bottles with birth and oakmoss. Before I get into reviewing this scent, can we just take a moment to recognize how nice this rubberized, chrome lined box is? For me the supremacy silver is the closest and highest quality, then CDNIM and then the Al Haramain L'aventure the original, then this one is the last in terms of quality, performance and closeness to creed.
