With all that said though, Puyo Puyo Tetris 2 had very little in the way of new content (the visual style was also indistinguishable from the first game) and yet that received the same rating (8/10) as its predecessor. What gives? Why wasn't that bashed for being ridiculously derivative? Don't get me wrong, I'm one of the dummy-dumb-dumbs who bought the game, but I wouldn't exactly endorse it either, and if I were to cut the score down by virtue of its derivativeness, then Puyo Puyo Tetris 2 should also be given an abysmal score. FIFA 20 features three cover stars across all regional editions. Real Madrid winger Eden Hazard was named the new cover star of the Regular Edition, with Liverpool defender Virgil van Dijk on the cover of the Champions Edition. [4] Former Real Madrid midfielder and manager Zinedine Zidane was later named as the cover star for the Ultimate Edition. [5] Legacy Edition [ edit ] The frustrating thing is that it’s a Catch-22 situation. If questioned about this, EA would undoubtedly claim that nobody is playing the thing on Switch so there’s no point in putting extra resources into improving it. But the point is, nobody’s going to play something that’s clearly undercooked and frankly inferior to what’s being offered on other systems. We aren’t talking about the gameplay on the pitch: of course, the Switch is a less powerful system, so that’s understandable. But in terms of features, there’s no technical reason why Ultimate Team can’t have every option the other formats do.

Commentary is once again provided by Martin Tyler and Alan Smith and alternating with Derek Rae and Lee Dixon for all competitions, with Alan McInally providing in-game score updates and Geoff Shreeves providing pitch-side injury updates. If you are a devotee to the series then you will obviously be drooling at the prospect of getting your hands on FIFA 21 with its promises of next-gen PS5 and Xbox Series X graphics and engines (after comparing the prices online, obviously). However, with many weary of the cosmetic tweaks each year, it's more interesting for those who are less sure and need to be convinced as to why? Sometimes not all that much can change between editions, and sometimes it can change for the worse. The overall aim appears to be making the game more realistic (isn't that what the goal should be every year?) and if it turns out like Madden 19, then it could be a roaring success. Often, however, when trying to make a sports game realistic can often be at the expense of, you know, fun. But there's already one thing which makes FIFA 20 definitely worth investigating... VOLTA FootballBut the Nintendo Switch version of FIFA 20 won't contain this mode, and in fact has been referred to as a "Legacy" version of the game. It's the same moniker given to last-gen console versions in previous years. Pusinelli, Alastair (1 August 2019). "FIFA 20 Ultimate Team: What is the new Mystery Ball mode?". RealSport. After spending a bit of time with FIFA 21 I initially thought Chris was being overly harsh here; after all, it still plays a perfectly decent game of football, it looks decent enough and, when you've got a few friends over, is a pretty brilliant multiplayer game. But, as Chris points out, the key issue here is that this is essentially the same game we got with FIFA 18, but we're expected to shell out the full price. Again. Sure, give us the latest kits and squad lineups as low-cost DLC, but asking for us to shell out again for a game we effectively own already is just plain cheeky. Avoid this one. EA is a scumbag of a company, I'm not even a football fan but I find this sort of thing insulting. If I were a fan I'd be outright angry.

The FIFA 20 Legacy Edition features updated presentation (in-game menus and broadcast overlays), the latest kits and squad updates for the upcoming season, but no new game modes or gameplay innovations. Official UEFA Elements: Immerse yourself in Europe's most prestigious club competitions with official broadcast elements, kit badges, match balls, and the iconic trophies for the UEFA Champions League, Europa League, and Super Cup.The EA SPORTS™ FIFA 20 Legacy Edition launches September 27th on Nintendo Switch™ featuring the latest kits, clubs, and squads from some of top leagues around the world. It will also feature some of the world’s most famous stadiums, including a number brand new to FIFA 20. But, I told you so. EA has been doing this for years! Release a strictly inferior product on Nintendo, so that when it doesn't sell as well as on other platforms, they can say "Well obviously Nintendo gamers aren't interested in our games!" They will blame the consumer and make all manner of excuses for why they can't be bothered to deliver a quality product.
