Description

First and foremost, Transformers Construct-Bots is a game of customisation. The initial menu screen presents you with three options: Customise, Gallery, and Battle. You can’t enter into battle without having your own robots first, nor can you view a gallery if you’ve no bots to view, so Customise is your first port of call. Selecting it will bring you to the meat of the app’s action. As part of the Beast Hunters series of Kre-O sets, "Ripclaw Strike" was pretty much only sold at Toys"R"Us stores in the US... not because it was an intentional exclusive, but because by that point the other major retailers had stopped carrying Kre-O Transformers outside of the Micro-Changer items. It and the other large sets eventually ended up in clearance-sale chains. In 2014, the design of the figures was changed markedly; All joints on the figures are now ball-jointed, and their torso superstructure combined the waist and torso and added a spring loaded "spine" part. Figures no longer reuse parts from other models and are more or less totally unique. Most 2014 parts are not compatible with parts from 2013 figures. All Beast Hunters (barring Predaking) and Age of Extinction Construct-Bots use the newer design. Unfortunately, the newer designs used rubberized ball-joint tips which were prone to dry rot after a few years. With the TRANSFORMERS CONSTRUCT-BOTS App you get to construct custom CONSTRUCT-BOTS figures and then send them into BATTLE!

The game gives you mission-style progression to allow you to construct your own fearsome Transformer however. You can select from any one of the missions, after which you will be given a parts lists as a general guide to creating your own bot from the actual Transformers titles, from Ultra Wave to (woohoo) Optimus Prime. The missions are more of a structured approach to the game, allowing newcomers to have some external help when building their bots, as well as giving you something to work towards in the free customisation mode. Battles Ripclaw is part of the first wave of Scout class in the Beast Hunters subline of Construct-Bots. The very end of her dragon-mode tail becomes a hand-held claw/blaster for her robot mode.

Conclusion

So unfortunately, each of the battles you will “fight” (or not, as the case may be) are actually fought behind closed doors, making them purely stats-based affairs. The winner is going to be the robot with the best stats overall, meaning that those who have invested in superior weapons and other parts will be at a distinct advantage here. Conclusion Win battles to earn more CONSTRUCT-BOTS virtual coins! Spend your coins on more powerful parts to build stronger CONSTRUCT-BOTS figures or to repair CONSTRUCT-BOTS figures damaged in battle. New users get 200,000 coins to start!

Ripclaw was part of a massive battle between Kreons. She was tripped up by Springer who taunted her that he would "catch her on the flip-side" as Ripclaw fell to the ground. She got her revenge later when she torched Springer's behind with her fire-breath. KRE-O Transformers Micro Changers and Combiners Construction Sets commercial Construct-Bots (sometimes erroneously called “Construct-A-Bots”) were introduced in 2013 for the Transformers brand to take part in the “buildable/customizable action figure” segment of boys’ toys. The sets debuted at a number of price points, with a relatively large advertising push. Part of the second wave of Prime: Beast Hunters Deluxe Class toys, Ripclaw transforms into a winged dragon with an opening jaw. Her tail is a series of plastic segments housed around a long rubbery cord, and can either hang loose or be latched tightly to the torso. She comes with the " Siphon Claw", a clawed stinger that snaps its spring-loaded claws shut when the stinger is depressed. It pegs via 5 mm post into her hands and onto the tip of her tail. For a franchise concept with as much potential as that of Transformers, it doesn’t seem that many of the developers of its games are necessarily capitalising on the technically intricate nature of the Transformers concept itself. Shirking the usual battle-only gameplay for an exploration of said potential however, is the mobile app Transformers: Construct-Bots. This is an app whose gameplay is largely comprised of the construction of your own Transformer robots, having complete control over each of the robots’ sections in a simulated laboratory-like setting. There’s still battling to be done however, but the satisfaction arises from battling with your own custom bots – this is the game’s unique selling point and it is a feature explored further in this short review Ever wanted to design your very own Transformer and lead them into battle? Well now thanks to Transformers Construct-Bots you can!Part of her transformation includes bending a hinge in her spine (bent for beast, nearly straight for robot). This happens in step 4 of beast-to-robot, or step 7 of robot-to-beast, but the instructions do not highlight this move (i.e., the parts involved are not orange), so it's easy to miss. Her instructions also include the eighth chapter of the Tales of the Beast Hunters series.

This mold was also redecoed and retooled into Go! Bakudora. It was also the model for the comic-only character, Ser-Ket. Many of the 5mm posts are hollow and compatible with Mini-Con Powerlinx ports, allowing for even MORE crazier creations. The customise section of the game is set out like your own personal mini-laboratory where you view you skeleton Transformer in all its glory. Actually, there’s no glory at first because your bot is barebones and doesn’t have any parts. It’s up to you to select and customise each of the parts, from the head section to the legs and outwards to the wings.
