When Master Replicas were releasing their studio scale model of course they made a 'Replica' of the 32"....they were allowed complete access to it and successfully duplicated it,.....but the 32" didn't really deserve this superstardom,....it wasn't meant to have all this attention & people scrutinising it's every detail,....it wasn't the REAL Falcon The cables will be extended here later and new small plugs will be soldered on, because I did not build the control unit and the loudspeaker into the model, but into the diorama. I can experiment on the underside without fear of messing up the model. You don’t see much of that in the Dio anyway. Bandai really went all out here. There has never been such an accurate and detailed model of the falcon.

Bandai Star Wars VII: The Force Awakens Millennium Falcon 1/

The different colored plates are supposed to give the impression in the film that Han and Chewi are repairing the falcon with all sorts of spare parts that they got from a junkyard. For example with a plate of a red or dark gray painted YT freighter. To all Star Wars fans who have been committed to that wish, here is what Bandai has to offer. Here is the ultimate Millennium Falcon. Reproducing the Finest Details First I printed some simple structures, which were then refined using greebles and styrene using a kitbashing process

You've probably been watching videos on YouTube, these are the most accessible and there's quite a few on there with some good tips. The right side. I use the upturned ramp of the falcon to conceal the slit in the two diorama halves

What are the best sources for articles and videos of other people's builds? Facebook group, there's quite a few some dedicated to the studio models which are great for reference and some to the model itself . lots of good ones with helpful hints and tips Everything I've seen suggests that no-one paints this with brushes, it's all sprayed. Is this right? What is of no use at all from the original kit are the LEDs. They’re way too weak. Disappointing for a 400 euro kit. Especially since there are very bright lights for a mere 8 cents apiece. However, if paint were to flake off the red replacement part, the original color of the falcon should not appear underneath, but rather the primer of the spaceship from which this plate originally came. Since I’m not only a friend of warships but also a Star Wars fan from the very beginning. And when Bandai released this amazing Millennium Falcon model, I was blown away. So Bandai have got the Star Wars licence for Japan,...all of the kits they've released so far & are planning on releasing are Original Trilogy kits (Thankfully Prequel kits are not the priority at the minute)...theres XWings, TIE Fighters, Scout Walkers, Droids, Speeder Bikes, Stormtroopers & Vader...... With regards to aftermarket parts, I believe there are some about but I'll be building mine out of the box. I've also seem some more detailed characters in different poses available if you weren't happy with the ones that come with it.

Bandai Millenium Falcon Perfect Grade 1/72 - Advice Bandai Millenium Falcon Perfect Grade 1/72 - Advice

This was the first time that a part didn’t sit perfectly. A huge gap had to be bridged with Mr. surfacer. He should fly through a halved tube. This is based on some film scenes, where he flies through the interior of the not yet finished Death Star, for example. WIth regards to paint, acrylic or lacquer paints seem to be ok. Not sure on enamels. With washes, be careful using anything enamel based as the plastic has a habit of reacting adversely to the thinners used to wipe them off. It is widely thought that light from the Millennium Falcon?s sublight engines is blue. However, the light shown when Star Wars: A New Hope was released was white. For the PG 1/72 Scale Millennium Falcon, white lights were chosen as a sign of respect toward the first movie. And everyone seems to assemble then spray (rather than spray parts before assembly). Is this right too?
