Martin Lewis: What the Autumn Statement means for you – including wages, benefits, pensions, ISAs, housing, national insurance and more He spent much of his pre-graduate life behind walls and in cages for the protection of society, and much of his later life doped in self-administered sedation. Does anyone seriously believe that there is a fundamental ideological difference between Plaid and Labour? Welsh people deserve something better than the capitalist parties of inequality and big business. Britain is currently the 4th richest economy in the world. The problem is that the majority don't benefit from that wealth. 10% of Britian's population own two-thirds, maybe even three-quarters of that wealth. Over the last 30 years inequality has sharpened. Socialists say we should tax the rich till the pips squeak to rebuild the welfare state, Plaid's economic strategy panders to this set-up and can only mean the continuation of profound inequality of power and wealth that has profound dangers for our society and our democracy.

Somebody welsh on the minimum wage has more in common with an English or Polish worker than a welsh millionaire! I am not a fan of TV shows where one has to phone in and vote. I tend to get cross every time I get a phone bill that shows that the wife and kids have sometimes cost me more than a months licence fee in call charges to Last Choir Standing, Big Brother, X Factor or other subliminal pay per view programmes. Superfast Cymru will transform the broadband landscape in Wales and promote economic growth and sustainable jobs in Wales. It's been estimated that up to 2,500 further full times jobs could be created throughout the Welsh economy over time. The project will ensure Wales is at the forefront of the global digital economy and will help to champion Wales as a great place to live, work, invest and visit. Someone has asked 'where are Gwynedd's Adam Prices and Nerys Evanses, where are Gwynedd's distinctive next generation of politicians. It's a good question because it doesn;t look like there are any. Odd , given the fact that Gwynedd is a stronghold of Welsh culture.

When the Electoral Commission decided last Wednesday that there should be no officially designated Yes and No campaigns, Yes For Wales Ltd, the only bidder for the Yes lead designation, put out a statement saying that despite the Commission's decision that the company would remain the official leader of the Yes campaign because it retained the support of all the other groups who had registered support for a Yes vote. Fair enough. I did offer to be interviewed on the general point and to complain about the local authorities who have failed to provide the necessary equipment in all schools - but that wasn't good enough. The story was dropped. There is a lot we would like to change about the EU, but we can only do that from within. There's no point shouting from the sidelines. We choose instead to work with our sister parties in the A couple of Welsh seats fell to the Tories because of the same narrative; this worries me, why should Wales fear the SNP? Whether it's medication for high blood pressure, type 2 diabetes or heart disease medications, our medication lists seem to grow as we age, Houghton says. “These medications also tend to cause constipation, which often results in retention of gas, and subsequently increased bloating,” he says. Common prescription medications also tend to cause weight gain, which can worsen GERD, or gastroesophageal reflux disease. Lactose intolerance

Nowadays, Plaid Cymru talks left. It claims to champion not only democracy, but even socialist democracy. It aims, for example, to "secure self-government for Wales and a democratic Welsh state based on socialist principles". The basic point about Plaid in Gwynedd is that they're a ruling party that has become rather stagnant. If you look at the creative and political talent in North Wales, and in Gwynedd in particular, you'll ask yourself why so little of it is formally attached to or working for Plaid. The reason in my view is that the party is old and grey and uninspiring, and has forgotten how to actually fight and communicate. In case anyone is confused the Communist Party of Great Britain is not the same party as the Communist Party who had an election broadcast in Wales in 2007and linked with the Morning Star newspaper, the current CPGB also bares no relation to the historical organisation of that name founded in the 20s that had MPs in parliament such as Willie Gallacher, Phil Piratin, Shapurji Saklatvala and a few others. There use to be a time when Plaid Cymru was the party that one could expect to defend local communities. Now it is a party that closes local facilities such as schools and public conveniences and shouts down and swears at those who offer solutions that might help save services. The following quote is from a socialist who wishes to arrange a counter demonstration against the St David's day parade in Cardiff. It is typical of the socialist mindset. Read it and understand why I hate the fact that the likes of Adam Price, Bethan Jenkins and Leanne Wood have dragged Plaid Cymru into the socialist mire. The latest proposals are just finger pointing rhetoric again, rather than a real attempt to deal with a real problem.

That UKIP can argue about "Immigration" in constituencies with fewer than 5% non British born residents like Aberconwy, but Plaid is too frightened to mention the 30% English Immigrants is counter-productive.I'm sure Leanne Wood can speak for herself on the issue but, as a member of aformentioned, 'satan like' and sinister CPGB, there is nothing intrinsically wrong with a member of one organisation donating to a particular cause of another. It's called having *principles*. In this case, the principle of fighting for open debate amongst the left on issues of importance.

Immigration is a huge factor in my political outlook, the immigration of English people into Wales; many of whom import their racist policies with them, and make UKIP and its intolerance of indigenous Welsh people and our acceptance of others into part of their political diatribe. The truth is that the audience WAS fairly chosen, was reflective of all opinion, but the right was so wibbly-wobbly, so unsure of its stance that it just couldn’t bring itself to whoop and cheerright wing arguments!!! Earlier this year I predicted that it might, just, be possible for Plaid to gain as many as 9 seats in the next General Election, I also thought that Plaid was on course to gain a second Euro seat next June. But if Plaid can't sort out the infighting in its own heartland with a big announcement that will please traditionalists and show that it has learned its lessons from the May fiasco in Gwynedd, then Adam Price might be a very lonely man in Westminster after the next election, and Jill might be on the dole by July. Autumn Statement: State pension confirmed to rise by 8.5% from April 2024 – while some benefits will go up by 6.7%

Doesn't Plaid Cymru have rules that prohibit all members, never mind elected members, from giving support to a party that stands in elections against it? People may remember that Hafod was shamed by socialists when Forward Wales adopted the slogan "Putting Wales First". As the radical left commented such a slogan "Put Wales first" could only be interpreted as we need to put Wales (rich and poor) ahead of other countries because we are Welsh.
