Although perhaps not quite as svelte as his movie portrayal, this Captain America Amigurumi is super cuddly! This character should be smaller, so I sized down to a 2.5mm hook just so it made more sense. It’s not proportionately smaller, but smaller nonetheless. After working with a 3.5mm hook for a number of characters, it was a bit of a change of pace to be working with something so much smaller. If you will use the same yarn and hook, your amigurumi Captain America will measure approximately 5’’ long and 3’’ wide. Such a cute superhero that will fit in the palm of your hands!Captain America was one of the first marvel crochet patterns I made and I think he still holds up pretty well as adorable little amigurumi doll all these years later! Today I’m adding this Captain America crochet pattern to the blog free, in his Avengers suit, with more Marvel characters to follow! This pattern is one of my more complicated ones, with plenty of colour changes and a removable helmet and shield. This means he may be a challenging project for beginners, but definitely a rewarding one.
