On October 11th, 12, & 13th, 2019, the FESTIVAL OF FEAR will take over the Princess Theatre. Moviemakers and Fans alike, will once again be entertained, as the excitement of the FESTIVAL OF FEAR takes over all of the senses. Discover perfect beauty in this macabre collection, where beauty is certainly in the eye of the beholder. Gentle curves that are sensual, elegant - or dripping with blood, sinewy and pale? Skin Deep gets under the skin, displaying a variety of body parts. And the abominable curators are constantly on the hunt for the next piece for their collection. The spectacular show The Traumatica Circus: APOCALYPSE takes place every 9pm and 10:30pm. Spectacular action with death wheel is sure to take breath away, while there is also some heavy swallowing, and rather unusual pole acrobatics at what is probably the craziest circus in the world.

I hold the FESTIVAL OF FEAR harmless from any damage to Blurays/DCP's en route or otherwise during the course of the Festival’s possession of the film. For younger kids, the Cornfield of Horror has a Haunted House and animated displays that are great to visit during the day. Once 6pm rolls around, it gets a lot spookier in the cornfield and is best left for the bigger kids who are wanting a scare.

And last but not least... The much scarier 6000 square foot Carnevil Haunted House for adults - opens Oct 13th and runs nightly 6:00 pm - 10:00 pm through to Halloween night. For the very first time, visitors will be able to visit every Friday and Saturday, as well as 31st October. In the later hours, they can also discover the exclusive Mystery Experience Eden Manor - Balthazar's Secrets. From 10:30pm, the mysterious lounge opens its doors, revealing the ambience of an old manor house with many theatrical, interactive and virtual surprises in store. The Festival Of Fear is Galey Farms signature event for the year! The festival has four main features which offers Halloween fun for all ages. In addition to the Scare Attractions, the Pegasus, Matterhorn Blitz and Dome of Dreams attractions are also open. While Cassandra’s Curse VR is brand new, found exclusively at Traumatica. Experience the popular illusion swing ride with VR glasses and immerse yourself in a creepy virtual world. HORROR FILMS and anything HORROR RELATED is what we love to Screen, and what our Audiences love to see...

The 2019 Film competition will open on October 31st, 2018, for all New Feature Length & Short Films, from around the world. We will accept all Submissions until August 25th, 2019

That we’ve been diminished in some way by swapping the rituals of small community for the rituals of global capitalism feels true, but since rural utopias always turn rotten in folk horror, they do not hold the solution to a better way of living. Rather it’s through the experience of seeing them unmasked that we’re awakened to the struggle we’re embroiled in here and now. Individuals in folk horror are shown to be so weak against much bigger forces – religious, political or preternatural – that they run the risk of being crushed entirely. Or else they become the force, which is perhaps the greatest horror of all. If your Film has been Screened Privately, or at other Film Festivals, or Released Theatrically outside of Canada, that is fine, as long as it is not Available on the Internet, has been Broadcast on Canadian Television, or as long as it is not Available on Bluray, DVD, Pay Per View, etc... In other words, if your Film is AVAILABLE to Audiences in Canada it is NOT Eligible to be Screened at the FESTIVAL OF FEAR. ALL FILMS MUST BE COMPLETED ON OR AFTER JANUARY 1st 2018, please DO NOT SUBMIT your Film to to our Film Festival, if your Film was Completed before this Date, or you will be Disqualified from the Competition.

When Wordsworth says “Let nature be your teacher”, it seems like sound advice. The trouble is, the classroom is falling apart. The recent State of Nature report concludes that almost a quarter of mammals and half of birds in the UK are under threat of extinction from a combination of climate change, farming practices, pollution and the construction of new housing estates, making it “one of the most nature-depleted countries in the world”. The urgency to preserve – in direct action and in literature – the habitats that shaped us and shape us still has never been stronger. And although the tales of ghosts, sacrifice, devils and debauchery are unsettling, folk horror plays an important role in this process. All entries into the FESTIVAL OF FEAR International Film Festival, give the FESTIVAL OF FEAR the right to use any footage, or stills, from the Preview Screener and/or Movie Trailer, and all submitted publicity photos and any other materials sent to us pertaining to your Entry to use for promotional purposes, without limitations.Once a Film is Officially Accepted by the Film Festival, it can no no longer be withdrawn from the Festival lineup/competition.
