The lower mids are obscured not only due to the V shaped tuning but because of the midbass bleed from the copious bass. The KBEAR KS2 Earphones feature a twin-prong socket type plug which enables them to be versatile with additional accessories and upgrades. Sounds absolutely authoritative using a bit of bass boost on my IFI Black label as well as the 6dbs of boost on the Fiio K3 2021.

I was told that KBEar Storm was tuned toward the purpose for stage monitoring, however, I had not yet try it out for stage monitoring, indeed, none of my bandmate having that kind of experience too. Lower treble drops back again after the upper-mid rise but comes back up to the upper-mid peak at around 5kHz which adds enough energy to help with snare rattle and hi-hat hits. What I hear is a fast and well-defined attack with a medium decay speed that gives the sound a natural weight. This review set is a part of a review tour and was sent free of charge in exchange for an honest review.A good DD driver will be able to separate kickdrum and bass guitar well, just like the DD inside KBEar Storm. Almost as quickly as the mids bottom out, they start a climb forward again that push female vocals forward in the mix and put them a step in front of both the other instruments and their male counterparts. Unlike the KS2, the KS1 uses an opaque material so the internals are not visible even in bright light. The sides of the cover are black and show the logo, in silver letters, and the model chosen, in this case «Green no Mic».

The comfort is comparable between them, although the faceplates of Timeless that are large are slightly less comfortable for me, Aurora winning in the comfort aspect. As CHIFI collectors know, the BLON BL-03’s fit is very famous (or rather infamous) due to the too short nozzle, requiring most folks to use aftermarket longer nozzles or spacer mods. Once installed correctly they make you look like a TV host with an ergonomic flush outer ear finish. Treble here is not the most refined or does it have the best extension but does a solid job representing the high notes and balancing out the sound presentation. Stage has good width and some depth but is definitely wider than deep and height is somewhat limited as well.At the end of the day, if you're looking for a natural sounding IEM with a good amount of width, a fair instrument separation and excellent overall detail for the money, Aurora is an excellent choice, and as long as you remember to try some tip rolling, you should have an excellent experience with them, and they are a fully recommended purchase. A detail that has caught my attention is that in this photo, the silicone type that comes in the IEM, is transparent.

I don’t care much for fancy packaging as I think that money is better spent on the IEM’s themselves, so this is fine by me. Advanced Customized Balanced Armature Driver Specification Model: KBEAR KS2 Headphone type: In-ear headphones Headphone output source: HiFi Sensitivity: 106dB 3dB Cell Impedance: 16 Frequency response range: 20-20kHz Pin Type: 0. Like the BLON BL-03, in terms of technicalities, both of these sets are below average in this department. If we were talking about more hardcore CHIFI connoisseurs who purchase midfi to TOTL gear, then yes, they have different priorities and perhaps an amp will unlock the sound for audio nirvana and future proof this hobby, but I honestly won’t recommend beginners to invest so much into sources when they are getting a budget CHIFI set. On it, there are two small holes, one near the nozzle, which coincides with the center of the dynamic driver, and ano

The midrange has a sweet tonality and works perfectly for female voices, guitars, and even more aggressive instruments such as trumpets sound enjoyable and non-fatiguing, non-harsh. The Aurora has been burned in for a weeks' time and is now ready for evaluation using my sources the IBasso DX300Max, Fiio M15, Shanling M6 pro, M5s, M3s, Ibasso DX160, Fiio K3 2021, and IFI black label for amping. From my highly technical footstep method I found the S1 had an open range of 15+ metre range without no obstructions. I did all these photos in a Contact Lens room during lunch time and every minute I had free from work to take. It is bottlenecked at the technicalities aspect, but would otherwise make a fine addition for those who are new to this hobby or those who want a laid back tuning that is different from the usual budget CHIFI fare.

As a bonus I will post about how the Aurora matches up with Tris two new cables that will be on the market very soon on this read later on. It doesn’t come through full time, but is enough that if a track has an emphasis in that range it gets strident quickly. An 8 cored 2 pin silver plated OFC cable in single ended configuration, a lint free cloth and cleaning tool. The mids are slightly recessed, as you would expect with a V-shaped sound but they don’t sound hollow or distant.
