We do not sell, nor does the Service provide any option to buy, any alcoholic products. The vatting is bottled in a 1-liter bottle at an acceptable 43% ABV and probably includes adjusted coloring and is likely chill-filtered. Unlike Green Label, this has no age statement, so expect the malts included to be younger than 15 years. Unless mandatory applicable law provides otherwise, your use of and membership to the Service are exclusively governed by Dutch law. We shall first try to settle any dispute over a dram of whisky. Disputes that cannot be settled over multiple drams of whisky shall be solely submitted to the court of Amsterdam, The Netherlands unless mandatory applicable law provides otherwise. Jim Beveridge, master blender for Johnnie Walker, said: ‘As whisky makers, we’re passionate about flavour, and creating this exclusive travel retail variant of our blended malt whisky has given us an opportunity to showcase a rare blend of rich malts.’

With Island Green, they have released a unique Whisky that will be loved by peat heads everywhere. It was first introduced as a travel retail exclusive in July 2018.He said: ‘The launch of Johnnie Walker Island Green is a true game-changer for the Scotch whisky category in travel retail. Named Johnnie Walker Island Green, the new blend will be available from July as a travel retail exclusive that brand owner Diageo is hailing as a ‘true game changer for the Scotch whisky category’. Nose: Mild peat – dark wet soil – with only a touch of smolder. Hot coals. Mildly sweet malt, with sooty cereals and only a very little bit of a floral note (rosewater, maybe). Delicate, but unmistakably peat-forward.

The Island Green is a variant of their excellent 15 Year Old Green Label blended malt; the differences are that it is NAS, and it emphasizes Caol Ila over the other malts within (Cardhu, Clynelish and Glenkinchie (though there may be more, I don't know). Each and every Member must be of legal drinking age in its country of residence to be allowed to use the Service. Doug Bagley, managing director of Diageo GTME, said the release is designed to broaden the selection of malts available to shoppers in travel retail.

As well as peated malt from Caol Ila, the no-age-statement blend also includes whisky from Clynelish, Glenkinchie and Cardhu. Doug Bagley, who is the Managing Director of Diageo GTME said, “The launch of Johnnie Walker Island Green is a true game-changer for the Scotch whisky category in travel retail.” The Adventurer – this label is a combination of robust smokiness and sweet fruits. Draws its inspiration from the travels of Johnnie Walker to the different countries of the world. Whether we like admitting it or not, most of us whisky enthusiasts have gone through a phase of snobbery. At some point or another a fellow (hopefully) well-meaning whisky drinker will have given you faulty advice along the following lines. ‘You should really just drink single malts and ignore blends.’ But that’s dumb. Just take a look at the Johnnie Walker Island Green.
