Use the 3-position purple slide switch on the top of the controller (next to the USB-C port) to select between PS5™,PS4™, and PC to match the platform you are currently using. The controller and performanceThe controller connects to your console in one of two ways, either wirelessly or with the provided wire — just like the DualSense. However, the DualSense doesn't require any extra gadgets to function wirelessly, the PRO BFG Controller needs the USB dongle that is provided, thus taking up one of the USB slots on your console. I found this to be a minor pain as I actually use every single USB slot on my console for various bits and pieces at current, so bear that in mind of you are a USB gobbler. Plug the included USB-C cable into the USB-C port on the top of the controller, and the other end into your PS5™ console, PS4™ console, or PC. You want good value for money: With its steep asking price and worse battery life than the original, the DualSense Edge could be too expensive for some. Regardless, this is a really comfortable controller that I use for a lot of PlayStation games I don't feel I need a competitive edge in. It's a good halfway house between something bred for performance and something that has those bespoke PS5 controller features that make gameplay feel truly next-gen.

The great news is that you don't need this software to make the most of the Pro BFG's features. PDP took a more hardware-oriented approach to things, and using the clever function button in combination with other buttons on the controller, you can switch profiles, and assignments, mute yourself, or even adjust audio profiles without disconnecting from the console. Advanced, professional controller for PS5™, PS4™, and PC with seamless wireless or wired connectivity, long-lasting battery life and a full arsenal of customizable options. If you're a competitive gamer, such as someone who plays a lot of FPS or fighting games, then a pro controller might be worth considering despite being slightly more expensive than your standard controller. There are notable differences between pro controller, including lightweight frames and longer battery lives, which all make your gaming experience more convenient in competition. Adaptive trigger resistance can offer some interesting gameplay angles when supported well, although it's a shame the ability to fine-tune its levels isn't the easiest without the more expensive Edge model. Moreover, in older models of this controller, it isn't uncommon to see trigger springs break or lose tension entirely when a game only tunes this resistance up to full. Kena: Bridge of Spirits crippled my original PS5 controllers. Patented Multi-Position Clutch Triggers: Boasting 5 different stopping points, the patented clutch triggers allow players to tune the trigger pulls to their specific liking, whether they want hair triggers, standard triggers, or something in the middle.

You want more battery life: The battery life here is worse than on the original DualSense, so it's worth looking elsewhere if that's something that bothers you. Specifically built for PS5 (though PC users can make use of it, too), the Gambit is entirely compatible with PS5 3D Audio, allowing you to get the most out of the console’s support for high-quality surround sound. For most of the [best PS5 games], then, it makes for an immersive sound experience. The 3.5mm cable that comes with the Gambit allows for a range of multiplatform compatibility, too. Connectivity: Wireless (USB-A mini dongle) or Wired (USB type A to type C cable), switch selectable

To begin with, we'd say that the DualSense is one of the best ways to experience PS5 games. A lot of games, especially first-party ones, are designed with the DualSense's bespoke features in mind, so it's got to be one of the best controllers for the console out there. Besides that, we can recommend the Scuf Reflex range, and the Victrix Pro BFG as solid alternatives. We'll soon be testing more models for the PS5 specifically, but there are also a myriad of great PS4 controllers that will work on PS5 if you play a lot of last-gen games. What PS5 controllers do pros use? Additionally, you can even swap out the right module for a fight pad module if you fancy playing a few fighter games. You get five different stopping points for the triggers, giving you granular control over the sensitivity of the triggers. Set both Triggers to full travel mode using the Clutch Buttons, then fully press and release both triggers 3 times. Please note that running this file will restore your USB HID Lower Filter driver to its default configuration, which could affect other peripherals utilizing custom USB HID Lower Filter drivers.** Hey all, just got my Pro BFG yesterday, its my first pro controller of any kind, and like it a lot! That being said, like many of oyu I had some issues getting up and running on PC, but I've solved pretty much all my issues and thought I'd share in case anyone else is having trouble on PC

Though the headband is sturdy, the speaker cups feel flimsier than desired, giving just a little too much when held. This is a consequence of the headset’s lightweight build that places comfort over durability. It’s not a dealbreaker, but the Gambit is definitely best handled with care. When the battery level is critically low and will die any minute, an audible warning tone will play every minute through a connected headset. The Gambit is extremely comfortable and can be worn for long periods of time with no irritation to the ears or crown of the head. The lightweight design doesn’t feel like the sturdiest out there, but the headset makes up for this by feeling unobtrusive on the head. Having worn the headset for upwards of 10 hours over the course of a single day, I’d say it’s one of the most comfortable gaming headsets I’ve ever used. Use a paperclip to press and hold the pinhole button on the side of the dongle for ~3 seconds until the LED begins blinking rapidly (pairing mode), then release

If both the Dongle LED and the Controller LED are slowly blinking simultaneously but are not establishing a connection, they may need to be re-paired to each other. To re-pair the controller and dongle, follow the below procedure: The Victrix Pro BFG does now have access to equivalent software on PC, which it didn't at launch. The Victrix Control Hub App lets you do all the appropriate fine-tuning you could want, albeit on a PC. This works just fine and is conclusive enough for the E-sports level of detail this set of buttons is known for. To recalibrate your controller, Power Off your controller by holding the PS Button for 5 seconds until the X-Logo LED turns off. It feels ridiculous to argue that, given that the Victrix Pro BFG doesn't have the DualSense's next-generation features. But let's be real for a second - those amazing features are great, but they aren't supported by nearly enough games, and this gamepad focuses on the aspects of a controller that really matter. You don't care about customization: If you don't need to personalize and customize a controller's modules to your liking, maybe don't go for this one. Both the right and left sides of the controller have control modules that can be removed in seconds with the included hex screwdriver. By default, the BFG has a traditional Xbox-style layout with a unique full-body diamond D-pad that sets up well for fighting games. Considering how the design doesn’t deviate much from the original DualSense controller, gamers should have no qualms about adapting to it instantly. The controller’s grip makes it stand out as well, and the unit should serve you well during intensive gaming sessions. 5. Razer Wolverine V2 Pro The Victrix Pro BFG Controller communicates to the Victrix Control Hub App via HID commands. Specific software like Steam may install custom Lower Filter drivers that interfere with the Pro BFG’s communication with the app. In terms of features, it’s fair to say that the Sony DualSense Edge isn’t a massive improvement over the PDP Victrix Pro BFG. That being said, you have to consider the fact that this is the only first-party controller that allows you to fully customize its buttons and offers a big improvement over the standard DualSense controller.
