Yes, I suspect noise reduction has been applied to remove film grain, if only mildly; you can still make out grain faintly in areas, and it does get a little heavier in some darker sequences. It includes some rare glimpses of lobby cards handed out at French screenings, all tagged with “Les Dents De La Mer” - The Teeth of the Sea. It's 55 minutes into the movie before you see the shark, and not seeing the shark is arguably more powerful than seeing it.
