Description

I love you, but I want to love you enough that I never choose alcohol over you. Not even for a moment. I want to be someone you deserve. Who helps you rather than enables you, and I can’t begin to do that until I get help for myself.” While Rose is the perfect elder sister to Daisy and Lily, her sister’s sex addiction has affected her in more ways than one. Her clothesline was affected by her sister’s expose, just like her father’s business suffered. Rose knows that little can be done to change the past, but the future still had a lot to offer to her family. This smart young lady figures that she has to do something drastic to save her family’s reputation and her business. I was immediately interested in Addicted to You because I’ve never read or seen anything about an addiction to sex, which, I assume, is probably something that is becoming more prevalent in today’s day and age. This book isn’t for the faint-hearted as it’s pretty raw with two serious addictions colliding and mixing. Lo and Lily are both addicts. Lo is a somewhat functioning alcoholic while Lily is a sex addict, and both of their addictions are severeeee. they’re also very rich kids yet i wouldn’t at all call them spoiled because they don’t let their money change their personalities. both of their characters were likeable in my opinion (frustrating at times, but still i have a soft spot for them). without spoiling anything, overall this novel takes you on a journey of two characters trying to navigate their messy lives when it comes to not only romance but addiction, college, friendship, family, and life in general. you will also come across a good amount of other characters that you can form your opinions on! this book offered so much!

the way i'm in love w toxic relationships 😍🥰 but this is not it. this isn't toxic, just dysfunctional, loves. <33

Hi, honey. I did not need to hear about all of your detailed fantasies about literally every stranger you saw throughout this whole book. Also, I'm a little mad that you didn't make that poor Giggalo a cup of coffee. This story is written in a brilliant way, such that I couldn’t predict what was going to come next despite the fact that it sounds like a very predictable book. I believe this is the first in a trilogy so there will be more to the story which surprised me as I thought this would’ve made quite a good stand-alone book if the ending had been slightly tweaked.

see - usually i'm always on the girl's side, okay? no matter what. if she cheats, it's better than if he cheats. yes, i have double standards sometimes. love triangles with one girl and two men are ALWAYS better then with two girls and one man. sue holy shit I hate lo so much “oooh I have an addiction” ok… see if I give a shit. like so do so many people and they don’t become toxic as shit to their best friends and family I need lo gone I need him dead I would have loved this series if not for him (and the weird age gap) Some characters plopped themselves into the lives of Loren and Lily and refused to leave them alone which seemed a little unrealistic, though perhaps not in the face of addicts.i am simply not the same after reading this book. my brain chemistry has been altered. it’s the way that this series is far from over too like what am i supposed to do with myself after i finish the entire series? someone pls tell me in advance😫 I watch Lo, and I start to see a new future. It’s there, still blurry, but it looks brighter and better. I just wonder if it still includes me.” I was a little hesitant when I started this, knowing something as serious and intense as addiction isn’t something that is considered easy to read about. But the writing and characters (ESPECIALLY the side characters) drew me in and kept me there. It’s like we’ve been married our whole lives, and now we have to separate. I know it’s for the best, but the hurt still festers like a new wound.” Description: Companion to the Sequel: A full-length New Adult Romance that continues where Addicted to You left off. It is highly recommended to be read before Addicted for Now.

She repeatedly questions her way of being and her actions even though she doesn’t stop. It was impossible not to feel for her character esp bc she tries to not give in to her urges and even more with lo in making things work. Nauseating lurches from humour to horror ... it’s all part of the You experience. Photograph: Beth Dubber/NetflixAt first I thought an addiction to sex was a little silly and it would’ve been quite easy for it to come across that way in a book such as this, but the two authors did a brilliant job of showing the harsh reality of such an addiction. In terms of the sex between Lily and Lo, I was actually very of disappointed. I felt like there was always no build-up and that it was awkwardly rough, personally I thought it would've been nicer if the author made their sex a little more tender and intimate, I wish she that she would've shown that having sex with someone you love is way more powerful and fulfilling and DIFFERENT than having sex with a stranger or someone you're not at all emotionally invested in or attached to.
