Sheriff Woody Pride [1] (better known as Woody) is one of the main characters of the Toy Story franchise. He is the main character of the films, and a supporting character in the Toy Story Treats, the Toy Story Toons shorts, and the two TV specials: Toy Story of Terror! and Toy Story That Time Forgot. Within the universe of the Toy Story films, Woody is a toy based on a character of the same name from a 1950s children's TV series called Woody's Roundup, as revealed in Toy Story 2. Each primary villain of each Toy Story movie unintentionally helps Woody solve his problem in that movie. This Woody doll was the same exact one as the initial release, but with some slight changes such as, a 1-inch pull ring, stamped in buttons, and slightly larger points on the corner of the badge. Woody and Stinky Pete became friends when they first met but when stinky Pete didn't get hid own way as woody not going to Japan he tried to torture him & been enemies ever since. The second film Bo Peep has a smaller role, but her relationship with Woody is the same. When Woody falls into a depression after being shelved due to his arm being ripped, she calls out to him to see if he's okay, exchanging a worried look with Buzz when Woody isolates himself. When the yard sale arrives, she and the other toys watch as Woody rescues Wheezy the Penguin, then watches as Buzz attempts to rescue Woody from Al, wondering why someone would want to steal him, and visibly upset that he's gone. When Buzz organizes a rescue mission to find his friend, Bo Peep gives him a kiss on the head, telling him to give that to Woody when he's found. Woody, along with Jessie and Bullseye, briefly appear in a poster in Meet the Robinsons, during Goob's baseball game.

As the days go by, Buzz seems to be getting most of the attention and Woody feels his world crumbling all around him especially when the posters on the walls, the pictures and even the bed sheets all change to Buzz and he ends up in the toy box instead of in the bed. Buzz even gets his owner's name on the bottom of his right boot with permanent ink, which infuriates Woody even more. You could always make a voice box, like this guy did in one of his youtube tutorials: https://youtu.be/lszRgWZN_B0 Bo is absent from the third film, but Woody remains in love with her, going quiet when Rex mentions Bo as one of the toys they lost as Andy grew up. As seen in the fourth film's prologue, Woody was tempted to join Bo as she was given away, but was forced to stay behind as he heard Andy looking for him. Later builds have an improved face sculpt, resembling the newer Thinkway Toys versions, as well as a thinner body.Buzz Lightyear has only 4 phrases when his oval chest buttons are pressed, voiced by Tim Allen, the voice actor for Buzz in the film. The phrases said are: Mulan: Mulan • Yao, Ling, and Chien Po • Fa Li • Fa Zhou • Hayabusa • Khan • Cri-Kee • Little Brother • Mushu • Shan Yu • Captain Li Shang • The Emperor of China • The Matchmaker • General Li • Grandmother Fa • First Ancestor Fa • Chi-Fu • Great Stone Dragon Desta, Yohana (June 19, 2019). He holds a meeting informing them of an upcoming move to a new house that is next week and the fact that, due to the move, Andy's birthday party is being held that day. At the request of the other toys, Woody coordinates a reconnaissance mission to discover what Andy's new toys are, as everyone fears being replaced. At first, the gifts are mostly toys and games. Atlantis: The Lost Empire: Kida Nedakh • Vincenzo Santorini • Helga Sinclair • Milo Thatch • Audrey Ramirez After the release of Toy Story in 1995, Disney began releasing merchandise for Woody and other Toy Story characters. They made a talking Woody doll, along with mugs, magnets, trading cards, throw blankets, bedding, lunch kits, calendars, greeting cards, gift wraps, and other merchandise with Woody on them. [55] [56] After the release of Toy Story 4, Disney created an interactive talking action figure Woody. He has been Andy's favorite toy since kindergarten, with a special spot on the bed, and is the leader and the brains of the toys in Andy's room. Andrew Stanton said that he understood that Woody would need to be a lovable, yet flawed leader since he is somewhat selfish. [73] In Toy Story 2, it was revealed that he starred as the main character from a popular 1950s TV show Woody's Roundup. When Al is bargaining with Andy's mom in an attempt to take Woody, Andy's mom declines, stating that Woody is "an old family toy." Prospector also directly and derogatorily refers to him as a "hand-me-down cowboy doll" later in the movie. John Lasseter said "we always thought" that Woody is "kind of a hand-me-down" to Andy from his father. [74] Toy Story (10th Anniversary Edition) – (Making Toy Story) (DVD).
