This is a wonderful story about the relationships between different generations of women within the same family. The conflicts and emotions are real and raw and you’ll find yourself relating to so many arguments and points of tension. Full of such warmth and kindness, and the writing is utterly beautiful. I adored it * Joanna Cannon * This combination made for a BAFTA award-winning comedy that would soon become one of the biggest shows in the United Kingdom right behind Little Britain. For the first time Stacey, Gavin, and their friends go on a journey from Billericay to Barry. Over the years, Ruth has won many accolades and awards that include three BAFTA Cymru awards, the Ultimate Women of the Year Award by Cosmopolitan, and the British Comedy Award. I was also interested in the whole mother-daughter relationship. I just love creating Welsh characters, I suppose. Grace is 90 years old and she’s very much inspired by my mum. She’s inspired a lot of Grace’s characteristics: that kind of attitude to life, getting on with it and making do and mend. So yeah, I took a lot of inspiration from my mum’s attitude to life!

Everyone thinks they know the truth, but they are all keeping secrets, will Grace's party be a joyous reunion or a day of tears and recriminations? After she was cast in Saxondale as Steve Coogan’s wife, she teamed up with James and together they wrote and starred in Gavin and Stacey the Bafta Award-winning work. Rob Brydon her old friend for years who also worked as a comedian starred in the work. Grace is said grandmother, about to turn ninety and living life to the full. Sea swims, visiting friends and embracing life in her own home. Still there are feuds that need to be solved and Grace suddenly feels that times is running out. I have absolutely nothing negative to say about this book . This is an emotional , heartwarming and captivating read and I finished it in one afternoon , completely unable to put it down !

Love, mess, secrets; this story of four generations of women is shot through with Ruth Jones's warmth and wisdom. A big warm blanket of a book. I loved it * Jojo Moyes * Welsh royalty and actress turned best-selling author Ruth Jones releases her third book Love Untold, a warm, joyous and heartbreaking generation-spanning novel. She natters with John Evans about the importance of family and forgiveness. Love, mess, secrets; this story of four generations of women is shot through with Ruth Jones's warmth and wisdom. A big warm blanket of a book. I loved it - Jojo Moyes

After getting her drama degree and with a lot of experience working in TV and acting, Ruth Jones finally got a job working in radio comedy and TV at BBC Wales. The ending took me totally by surprise and I had to read the last couple of chapters twice because my eyes leaked (I sobbed) and the print blurred. Jones's trademark warmth and humour suffuse the novel with comedy and pathos, making for a heart-warming, entertaining and, at times, deeply moving story' The Observer A beautifully written and deeply moving story about four generations of women from the same Welsh family and the secrets and bonds they share. I laughed out loud at times and enjoyed a good cry at others. A tale of friendship, forgiveness and second chances, LOVE UNTOLD is Ruth Jones at her very best - Sarah Turner, 'The Unmumsy Mum'

Female characters that cross over many generations always makes for a great read, and in this novel from Ruth Jones, her latest that is no exception. Another classic from Ruth Jones. She has this ability to make you believe you are living the life of all the characters. The good and the bad. The flawed the messed up parts alongside the highs. Taking some time to get into ending up my favourite of the three I have read by the end. The sad beautiful tragic ending. Grace lives in Dylan’s Quay. She had lived there since her husband Aneurin Meredith died in 1968. Grace had moved in with John and Cissie Edwards to turn their beautiful home, Syn-yMor, into a guest house. Her daughter, Alys reluctantly moves in with her but escapes to London as soon as she turned eighteen. Gavin and Stacey” is Ruth Jones’ most popular work that introduces Stacey and Gavin. Stacey happens to be your everyday girl from South Wales while Gavin is your everyday boy from Essex. This is a story about mothers and daughters: the love inherent in that bond and the heartache that miscommunication can bring. More than anything, it's about the importance of being true to oneself. Meet Grace, Alys, Elin and Beca - a family you'll come to know, and to love. Love, mess, secrets; this story of four generations of women is shot through with Ruth Jones's warmth and wisdom.' JOJO MOYES Elin Matthews (married to Greg) is Grace’s granddaughter. She is the Head Teacher of St Stephen’s High and mother to Beca.

She has three brothers and sisters and remembers that she loved participating in yearly theatre and musical productions in school. It was this that fostered her creative spirit during this time.In a series of 100 short and accessible essays, zoologist and science communicator Joanna Bagniewska introduces us to some of the strangest and most compelling creatures in the natural world. From jellyfish capable of reversing the ageing process to tarantulas that keep frogs as pets, by way of blood-spurting lizards and booby siblicide, it’s an illuminating compendium of some weird and wonderful creatures. Jones won the prestigious BAFTA award as Best Screenwriter and later on, was awarded an MBE for her work in entertainment. Ruth Jones made her debut in fiction writing when she penned “Never Greener,” a novel that was published in 2018. Ruth Jones: Yes, I like that. I really do. I’m glad that it comes across; I do try, and it makes me feel better about life when I write in that way. I think there’s enough nastiness in the world as it is, and I don’t want to add to it! So yes, my writing is pretty gentle, I guess. I tend not to have villains, and I still believe in the whole thing that there is a little bit of good in the worst of us and a little bit of bad in the best of us. Love, mess, secrets; this story of four generations of women is shot through with Ruth Jones's warmth and wisdom. A big warm blanket of a book. I loved it Jojo Moyes
