You’ll probably only get a closer shave by using a blade, which comes with its own (major) shortcomings. I used the ProFoil for a couple of weeks almost exclusively and the cleaning was fiddly and a bit time-consuming — definitely more annoying than in the case of my other foil razors.

Long whiskers, especially if they stay flat on the skin or grow in different directions, are more difficult to shave. Precisely, it supposedly features a Gold titanium hypo-allergenic foil for irritation-free shaving. Andis's upgrade to their popular TS-1 titanium foil shaver. Like the original, it features gold-titanium, hypoallergenic foil for a comfortable shave and staggered-head blades for exceptional closeness. The set costs just marginally more and you won’t get the best performance out of the shaver by using a new foil and a worn pair of blades. The American brand Wahl created this machine to ensure that you can shave your mustache and beard with minimal irritation on your skin. So let’s dive in and look at some amazing features of this electrical appliance. On the cheeks, chin and below the nose it was fine most of the time, but again, I tried not to be sloppy and only use light pressure and short, controlled strokes. The Andis Profoil Lithium electric shaver comes with a lithium-ion battery that can be charged through its power cable. In addition, the blades are coated with hypoallergenic material making them suitable for the most sensitive skin. At their core, all of these foil shavers were meant to be used cordless. Especially if you’re a barber or stylist. You won’t orbit around your client with a charging station now, will you?

You’ll certainly have a difficult time finding a better one at this price point that can match it in that regard. Balding guys that want the closest shave they can get on their heads have a good chance of loving this machine. Especially if their face also gets along well without irritation, unlike myself. This would mean they only need this shaver rather than one for the head and another for the face (it is not really the shavers intended use, though).Being a dry only electric razor, I only used it dry and only a couple of times I applied a pre-shave lotion. Both of these brands are esteemed in the world of hair care, and you’ve undoubtedly heard of them both before if you’ve ever even considered purchasing a shaver. If you want a shaver that can help you avoid irritation, then I would opt for the Wahl Finale. Whilst the Profoil is unlikely to cause irritation, the Finale is specially designed to deal with people who have sensitive skin. Sensitive skin is one of the biggest issues you’ll have to deal with when you’re shaving, so it’s definitely a necessity if you’re prone to getting razor bumps when you’re shaving. It is very clear that they are sharing the very same design. Some people in the comment section under the second video seems to believe that it was an unfair comparison and that the Adis was “old”, used etc. But there indeed is a real difference between them as one can hear on the noise as well, as you noted in your review Ovidiu, the Andis does have a 9000 stroke per minute motor, while the BabYlissPro, based on my research is said to have an 11 000 stroke per minute motor. So that should make some difference. One con for the BabYliss is that it got a NiMH-battery, while the Andis got a Lithum-ion one. But the BabYliss still provides up to 180 minutes of run time. Very good.
