Description

PoxClin® CoolMousse is intended for larger areas and is absorbed rapidly by the skin. Spread the mousse generously over the area. It helps to reduce the itch and improve the condition and texture of the skin. The virus produces a rash of small, itchy red spots that turn into fluid-filled blisters. The blisters then dry out, forming scabs that eventually drop off.

Although any paracetamol product will do a good job when it comes to reducing pain, we plumped for Calpol, a sugar-free, strawberry-flavoured liquid medicine that’s especially formulated to treat children (obviously adults should use an adult-appropriate paracetamol alternative). AMAZING! I can't believe what an instant relief PoxClin had for my son (3). He was so itchy & uncomfortable until a friend suggested PoxClin & bathing in bicarbonate of soda. Nicola, my 3 year old and 10 week old currently have it and if I can get hold of some of this stuff (my boots doesn't have it!) then I'm going to put it on both. From what I gather the selling point of this stuff is that it's made from natural ingredients, so should be safe. Also, medicines say if you're *not* supposed to put it on a certain age (the Virasoothe gel says very clearly it's not suitable for under 6 months.) I hope that makes sense, I've got two itchy wriggling children on me at the moment!
